NEW YORK CITY, NY — If you have ever wondered whether it was possible to get injured by playing a video game, we have the answer for you! One of the top Call Of Duty gamers in the world, Thomas ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto, announced that he has been forced to retire from professional gaming after injuring his thumb.

Why ZooMaa Was Benched

The 25 year old currently plays for the New York Subliners, but was benched because he needed surgery to fix an issue with his thumb. He talked about the trying experience online.

“Going through that process of getting healthy again was one of the hardest things I ever had to do both physically and mentally, which led to a lot of stress and anxiety,” Paparratto said.

Our heart goes out to this guy. Many Twitter users also responded with messages of support for the pro gamer.

Woof. Brings tears to our eyes. This poor fella was gunned down in his prime. You hate to see it. Wishing everyone the best out there. And we hope you get better soon, ZooMaa!
