2021 just won’t let up will it? We are devastated to inform you that Christopher Plummer, the legendary actor famous for roles in The Sound Of Music and Beginners, has passed away at the age of 91.
Rest in peace to this king! May he get more lead roles and Oscars on the big silver screen in the sky!
Plummer was kept company by his wife, Elaine Taylor, and longtime friend, Lou Pitt, until the very end.
“Chris was an extraordinary man who deeply loved and respected his profession with great old fashion manners, self deprecating humor and the music of words. He was a National Treasure who deeply relished his Canadian roots. Through his art and humanity, he touched all of our hearts and his legendary life will endure for all generations to come.”Lou Pitt, friend of Christopher Plummer
Wow. We’re just learning that Plummer was Canadian. This is news to us. In fact, he apparently loved being Canadian too, if we’re to believe Pitt—which, considering he was friends with Plummer, Men’s Humor DOES believe Pitt. It does not help take the sting off his death at all though. Rest in peace one more time!
The whole internet is collectively mourning the Hollywood titan, whose career spanned 7 whole decades. Some used humor to grieve, others just flat our grieved and reminisced about his finest cinematic moments.
RIP Plummer once more! You truly were an actor we could bring home to meet the parents. What an absolutely devastating loss for people all over the world!
