A distressing Amber Alert was triggered over the weekend, which has the Texas Department Of Public safety scrambling for answers. The alert described a child wearing “blue denim overalls with multi-colored striped long sleeve shirt wielding a huge kitchen knife.” The kid is questions was none other than Chucky, the haunted doll from the 1988 film Child’s Play, according to a report from KSAT.com. Good news is the Chucky doll is fine. False alarm!
The Amber alert also erroneously reported one “Glen Ray” to be missing. Two sweet innocents taken in one day? Heavens!
According to the Texas Department Of Public safety’s IT department was conducting some tests of its Amber Alert system when the notification went out accidentally. The DPS confirmed that the two dolls are not missing or on some kind of murderous rampage across Texas.
Boy oh boy, this must have freaked out a bunch of people, though.
Thankfully, Chucky and Glen Ray are safe and will live to terrorize families across America for another day. Wait, you thought the relief comes from the doll’s being captured? No no no no no. We are happy that the doll’s are SAFE and HAPPY and HEALTHY. Men’s Humor is a publication dedicated to the safety of children and haunted toys alike.
