Pranking your friends comes close to (harmless) sadism and if you're a celebrity, then you can always up your game. While this year's April Fools' Day is still fresh in our memory, here are 25 times celebrities fooled each other and us with their wackiest pranks.

1. "Ellen in Adele's ear"

As Adele was requested, Ellen DeGeneres fed her lines through an earpiece. "One small cup but a large," she began, before launching into a string of outrageous requests. She took scissors from her purse and asked to cut some of the wheatgrasses on display. When it came time to pay, she freaked out and threw everything in her purse on the counter: "Where is my money? I need to pay for this, right? I'm a celebrity. Do I have to pay?"

2. "The David Beckham statue prank"

James Corden, the host of The Late Late Show duped his retired football legend friend into thinking he'd been cast in less-than-flattering bronze at the L.A. Galaxy's home stadium. Beckham, visibly disappointed when the work of art was revealed, admitted it was "slightly different" than what he'd agreed to. "I mean, look at my chin. It doesn't really look like me. I mean, look at my eyes. The only thing that's good is that hair and that's about it…. I really don't see how this can go out," he said.

3. "Fake Drake"

Drake used his Degrassi acting skills to pull off this prank. The Grammy-winning rapper took to the streets of Los Angeles with Jimmy Kimmel disguised as a regular man with a microphone and approached people to ask their opinions on his music and he didn't back down from any criticism. He asked someone if crying at the ESPYs was "manly" and the man replied, "Definitely not manly, I'd say he's a chicken head." Drake finally revealed himself, much to the surprise of the interviewees.

4. SMOSH-ed it!

Jennifer Lawrence collaborated with co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth to prank YouTube pranksters SMOSH, in which Lawrence pretended to have a nervous breakdown. "We thought we were pranking Jennifer Lawrence and BOY WERE WE WRONG," Smosh expressed.

5. "Michael Strahan Assures 'Gap Nation' His Teeth Are Here to Stay"

On April Fool's Day in 201, the Good Morning America co-anchor surprised everyone by pretending to close the signature gap between his two front teeth. Strahan said the stunt went far beyond his expectations, explaining on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he received "seven hundred text messages, 400 emails and everybody's trying to FaceTime me to see" after the prank revelation.

6. Kevin Hart's plane was covered with Nick Cannon's face

For the promotions of his talk show, the Masked Singer host took his ongoing prank war with Hart to the skies by plastering his photo on Hart's private jet. To amp up the rivalry, he emblazoned the plane with the words "Kevin Rides The Cannon."

7. Scott Disick a.k.a Todd Kraines pranked Kris Jenner 

Disick called Jenner and pretended to be a distant, longtime family friend named Todd Kraines who was desperate to contact the family matriarch in a long-running Keeping Up with the Kardashians stunt. "A long time ago when we started prank-calling Kris with the whole Todd Kraines thing, I never even knew who the person was and then it became an ongoing joke," Disick said. "I never thought I'd actually go on a ski trip with him!"



 

 

8. The Kardashians pranked a lot of A-listers

Kris Jenner gathered her daughters Kylie, Khloé, Kim, Kourtney, and Kendall to play a prank on their A-list friends by Facetiming them and then sitting in stern, judgmental silence when their pal picked up. They then made a video out of the truly epic reactions (ranging from confused to alarmed). The standard response was, "What the f**k? Am I in trouble?"



 

 

9. Ryan Reynold in Hugh Jackman's dressing room 

Since 2009, when Reynolds expressed his desire for a Deadpool/Wolverine mashup film, the actors (and fellow Sexiest Man Alive winners) have been teasing each other. On the first night of the Australian's Broadway musical, The Music Man, Reynolds left a framed photo of himself in Jackman's dressing room.

The singer went to an impersonator show and tricked everyone by playing herself and looking unrecognizable, thanks to how meticulously she had prepared for her performance.  



 

11. Liam Hemsworth scared Miley Cyrus

Hemsworth frequently pranked his ex-wife and documented her reactions on Instagram. And he finally got her in September 2018. Hemsworth smirked in the dark on the couple's veranda, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Cyrus jumped out and gave a loud growl as he turned on the lights, causing the Malibu singer to jump back. 



 

12. Blake Shelton received Adam Levine's Sexiest Man Alive cover at home

Before his fellow The Voice coach was named PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive, the Maroon 5 frontman simply had to rub his superior sexiness in his adversary's face. His 2013 title was announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live in front of a "huge picture of the cover." "I took it, framed it — this is not a cheap practical joke by the way, it was a lot more expensive than I care to admit," Levine said. "So I framed it and I sent it to his house in Oklahoma. And he put it up in his barn."



 

13. Pregnant Kendall

Kendall Jenner revealed her pregnancy to sister Kim Kardashian during an episode of Kocktails with Khloé. Instead of freaking out, Kardashian ended up telling Jenner that this was not the time for her to be dealing with this. She even mistook everyone on set laughing for Jenner crying and offered to come over right away. "I'll bring my 30 kids and you can babysit for two seconds to see how you feel."



 

14. Nick Stroller was scared by Seth Rogen, Jason Segel & Charlie Hunnam  

The three actors collaborated to completely frighten their film director. On The Late Late Show with James Corden, Rogen and Segel discussed the bungled prank. "One time after Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Seth and I were hanging out at my house, and we invited the director, Nick Stroller, over. We kept feeding him water trying to get him to go to the bathroom, and it took like an hour," Segel explained. "He went over to the bathroom and we heard a scream of death because Charlie Hunnam was laying in our bathtub covered in fake blood … He was in there for at least an hour."



 

15. Taron Egerton's trailer was filled with sex dolls thanks to Channing Tatum

Tatum staged the hilarious prank to exact revenge on his Kingsman: The Golden Circle co-star. "I put a mannequin in his trailer bed with a wig on it and some empty wine bottles and a pair of high heels on the floor," Egerton explained.  "And he came in one morning and thought there was a person in there and was quite freaked out …The day he left, he filled my trailer with...about 20 sex dolls and some rather disturbingly large prosthetics … He spent some money on that. He really went to town!"

Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson collaborated to prank their One Direction bandmates with the assistance of a seemingly pregnant Nickelodeon producer who was on hand to prepare the boys for an interview. The producer, who was dressed as a pregnant woman, "went into labor." The boys were stunned but eager to assist, particularly Harry Styles, who was at one point holding up the producer.

So, while meeting up with pal Hill in New York City, he decided to give him that treatment and the hilarious moment was captured on camera. Hill appeared to be terrified but when he realized it was his old pal, he felt relieved.

The talk show host's penchant for hilariously scaring her guests has become well-known and Swift was no exception. When DeGeneres jumped from the corner of the singer's dressing room bathroom, Swift was caught off guard. She screamed and collapsed to the ground. "That was the best one yet," the host joked.

Nothing makes us happier than behind-the-scenes shenanigans. Affleck adorned Batman v Superman co-star Cavill's trailer with movie posters, joking about the stunt on Facebook.  "Henry, I'm flattered. I didn't know you were such a fan! We know #WhoWillWin," he wrote.

24. Olivia Colman roasted Paul Rudd

When Paul Rudd joined the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast, he received an unexpected phone call from his longtime friend Olivia Colman. Colman, disguised as a caller with a different accent, asked Rudd passive-aggressively, "I just wanted to pick your brains. So what would you do if you had a really good mate, like, for over 20 years, and this friend, he doesn't live in England but he's come to England and hasn't told you about it?"



 

25. LeBron James pretended (well) to work at Blaze Pizza 

Customers walked into Blaze Pizza and did a double take when they saw the basketball player towering over his "coworkers." When a man entered the room wearing a shirt with a basketball graphic on it, LeBron fully committed to the gag, even pretending he didn't know what basketball was. He was almost apprehended when a customer said he looked "very familiar," comparing him to Dwyane Wade.  "I get that a lot," he replied. "I've heard of that guy too."
