Mom Catches 8-YO Son Trying to Sell Dad’s Hugo Boss Watch to Buy a Dirt Bike
Kids are great at coming up with new ideas and finding ways to do things their way (though some of these ideas may be impractical). They are not afraid to go down the road less traveled. Similarly, an 8-year-old boy found a hilarious way to earn some extra bucks to buy a dirt bike, per The Mirror. His mother, Ash Capel found out and it left her in stitches.
The boy, Casey, who was dubbed "mini Del Boy," tried to sell his dad's Hugo Boss watch on his mom's Vinted account to earn extra money. Ash, from Surrey was tucking in Casey one night during bedtime when the boy innocently let the information slip. LOL.
The boy warned his mom not to check her Vinted account that evening, not realizing it may sound skeptical to his mom and she will eventually go and check it. Kids really do the funniest things possible and often do it unintentionally. Of course, it got Ash puzzled and she immediately logged into the account.
The mom was amazed to see her son had put up his dad's branded wristwatch on sale for $125. She couldn't believe her eyes and the young 'del boy' in the making had also elaborately mentioned other details to make the purchase "attractive." He listed the watch under the name "Dad's Watch" and put the brand name "NICE." Haha! Surprisingly the young boy had quite an entrepreneurial mind and even self-modeled the watch and clicked several photos to post on the site. In one of the photos, he dangled the watch in his hand and the camera focused on the silver accessory for a better image. Another photo showcased him holding a giant Mickey Mouse glove and the watch was wrapped around one of the glove fingers.
However, the boy had another 'accessory' for sale, his mom's "precious" ring, which the hawk-eyed mom immediately discovered as the boy wore it on his middle finger. The cheeky boy had quite a plan to have a lucrative deal. The mother admitted it was quite a shock for her when she saw the post but also confessed that the boy might have taken inspiration from her. She told The Mirror that they recently tried to sell an old pair of shoes online and probably the little boy got the business idea from there.
"We couldn't believe it," Ash confessed. "He helped me list his old walking boots a couple of weeks back and I told him if they sell, he can keep the money. So, he must've had that on his mind." Kids are way smarter than we give them credit for. She added, "It made us laugh so much. This is him all over." About Casey, she said, "He's so cheeky and always trying to make money. He wants a dirt bike which we've told him he has to save up for. He once made me a ring because he loves me so much. But then he told me I'd need to give him $25 if I wanted to keep it." Unfortunately for Casey, the parents took it down from the website before he got any offers on his dad's Hugo Boss watch.
