Adventure Ride Operator Scares Riders with Savage Prank and the Internet’s Here for It | “Love This Kind of Evil”

Adventure theme parks are unpredictable and full of thrilling excitement. If you're a frequent visitor, getting on a dangerous ride won't be scary. To summarize, theme park adventures send chills down your spine but the dose of adrenaline rush is worth every "mini heart attack." So if you're free this weekend, we have a fun place and a particular ride you must not miss.
The Mountain Monster, a theme park in Tennessee should be next on your bucket list for obvious reasons—fun, food and dangerously wild rides. However, something or rather, someone sets this place apart from all the rides you've been to before—Richard Groff. He is the adventure ride operator at Mountain Monster theme park. Groff is not your average ride operator. He's different, he's special and dare we say, he's pure "evil genius." LOL! He'll double up the dose of your adrenaline rush before you even know it. The operator is going viral for his savage prank on riders and the videos gained traction on TikTok and Twitter.
Shoulder straps. I forgot to put them on. Reach up.

The viral video was posted by @swd2 on Twitter which garnered 2.5 million views and thousands of hilarious comments. TikTok views reached 42.8 million views. So what's his style that makes him stand out? Well, the video showed Groff instructing the riders about the ride and just when the riders are prepared, he informs them of a crucial security feature malfunction. OMG!
The ride is not the Monster. The Monster is the operator. 😂

Now the riders' minds almost stop working. They expect the operator to come and fix the strap or chain or other security issues but suddenly the ride plunges into action. And all you hear are the screams of "Oh My Gaawwwwwwd!!!" Thrilling or dangerous? We'd say both.
So when the ride stops and the riders regain their senses, the realization hits them that the operator pranked them. Nothing is really wrong with the prank, except when you watch the video, it looks ghastly. The bloke means no harm; he just means to give everyone a double dose of adrenaline rush. The ride's name is Monster DROP, a 200 feet-high-drop ride that secures the rider with just a lap belt. Groff often enacts this prank on riders who come for the ride and go with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The operator runs a personal TikTok account, @Got_em82. He documents the rider's reactions on his account and has gained love and attention from people. His follower count reached more than 287.9K. He has created quite a buzz on the internet. A Twitter user, @yonathanseleshi questioned, "Does he want people to have a heart attack?"
A second user, @CodeAficionado mentioned, "The fading away "Ohhhh myyyy gaaaawwwdddd" was it for me." A third user, @rosieglow2010, defended, "Guess you got to find some way to make pushing that button all day less monotonous." We second with her. It's a dull job, really. Another user, @ThomasS32152704, declared, "Yep. Pure. Unadulterated. Evil. And I can tell he's enjoying the hell out of this." @FredDebonair quipped, "You got to get medical disclosures before you do that shit."
