Confession: We dread commuting. It's the dead time between two destinations with boring passengers (mostly) and bumpy roads. It's the least fun time of the day. According to Zippia Research, the average one-way commute for Americans is 27.6 minutes and since 1980, the average American commute time has increased by 27% (From 21.7 minutes to 27.6 minutes). The average American commutes 41 miles a day to and from work. Just imagine!

To travel all these miles with no entertainment seems unfair. Music often comes to our rescue during the tedious commute hours but an Illustrator on Twitter, OctoberJones is proposing a new and creative way to kill the monotony. The artist suggests drawing new heads for fellow commuters and he has chosen different cartoon characters for that to add to the fun. He started by drawing a cartoon face that matched an unsuspecting passenger's body on a sticky note. We have documented the 25 funniest faces from his collection. Scroll through the posts and shoo away your weekday blues.
