We can make money in countless different ways these days and some of our gigs are a tad unusual. You might have heard about nannies caring for babies but have you ever heard about or imagined a cat getting their personal nanny? According to Daily Mail, a wealthy Australian family is looking for a full-time nanny to look after their beloved and well-pampered cat in their Sydney home. As the rental crisis continues to soar in Australia, some people have started living in hostels just to keep a roof over their heads.

In the midst of all that, this family decided they wanted to pay someone a lucrative fee to spend time with their cat. A job listing advertised on Seek announced that the family is looking for "a nanny for a wonderful cat." "Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to look after one pet full time and only focus on the care and love of one cat," the ad further reads. Cats can bring a whole lot of trouble to their owners by being a moody jerk but still, why would they want an actual nanny to take care of a single feline?

"This is a private role based within the Eastern Suburbs area working for a busy family as a Pet Nanny/Carer. This position will require someone who is available to live-in full-time and stay home to look after the most beloved, gorgeous cat in Australia,” the job listing continued to state their requirements. "You will be provided your own room and all facilities within a wonderful and beautiful house. This position would suit a single person only that does not have their own pet given it is a live-in position."

The Aussie family residing in the Double Bay area also added that their ideal candidate for the job would be someone who is interested to take their role as a special cat nanny so they have asked only "serious candidates" to apply. This job seemed like the perfect gig for the people of Sydney, especially those who are searching for a job and a place to stay. As long as one can dedicate their time and energy to caring for the spoiled cat, their employment is ensured.

As expected, netizens lost it when the news hit the internet and gained some significant traction. Some desperately wanted to pounce on this golden job opportunity whereas others grew suspicious of it and criticized the act as “modern slavery.” Well, we are not certain if the fellow about to get hired will find the job as promising as it sounds from the advertisement but we sure enough are jealous of the kitty living in a kind of luxury most of us can't afford.
