Ben Affleck Is All Set to Appear in Dunkin’s First Super Bowl Commercial With Jennifer Lopez

Your favorite Dunkin is soon going to get a Ben-licious twist.

According to PEOPLE, Ben Affleck is set to feature in Dunkin's first Super Bowl commercial along with a special cameo from his wife, Jennifer Lopez. The coffee company teased the news in a cryptic Instagram post featuring the text "Something's Ben Brewing." 

"Feelin' like we could all use some Dunkin' today," the post caption states.

It's no secret that Affleck is a devout fan of the New England Patriots, but unfortunately, the team won't go for the Super Bowl game happening on December 2, 2023. The news of his commercial surfaced after his painful grimace during the 2023 Grammys became the talk of the town.

What makes the upcoming commercial even more thrilling is undoubtedly the fact that the 50-year-old actor will feature alongside his better half, Lopez. Affleck married Lopez in 2022 after rekindling their romance in April 2021. They are one of the most loved couples in Hollywood.

The commercial's filming reportedly began outside of Boston in January and Affleck is said to have filmed the spot at a Medford, Massachusetts, location.

The spot saw him serving up Dunkin's coffee and donuts to unsuspecting drive-through patrons. He wore an employee uniform, with a black visor and matching shirt that read, "America runs on Dunkin." Affleck is an ardent Dunkin fan himself, and his beloved coffee often accompanies him in public.

This ad will mark the first-ever commercial Super Bowl ad for everyone's favorite coffee shop. Dunkin's first opened in Quincy, Massachusetts, under the name Open kettle in 1948. They renamed the company Dunkin' Donuts in 1950.

Several local news channels reported Affleck's filming for the ad as he was serving coffee, but later someone cleared the air that its an actual shoot sequence.

Many customers were in awe of getting their coffee from the actor. "I looked, and it was Ben Affleck serving me my coffee," customer Lisa Mackay said. She looked thrilled as another video showed Affleck and Lopez behind the coffee counter.

"He handed me my coffee, said 'Good morning,' we chatted a little, and he was super funny, very quick-witted, and they told me they were filming a commercial," Mackay added.

Dunkin's Instagram post garnered 493k views and more than 14k likes. Instagram user @samriane, quickly picked up the hint and wrote: "I have BEN waiting for this one." A second user, @ashley.sargent.92, hit the right spot and said, "I think it has to do with the Super Bowl and Ben Affleck."

Talking about his love for Dunkin', Affleck shared with Collider in 2019, "It's amazing! I have Dunkin' Donuts every day. It's very weird, I have it every day, and people are always like, 'Where is that? Is that near here?' So, I feel like I'm spreading the word."

The actor's Dunkin' commercial was initially supposed to be a regular commercial and campaign. He reportedly signed a deal worth millions of dollars with the company. "But things changed and now it will be a commercial during the Super Bowl," reports ET. 

Jill Nelson, Chief Marketing Officer at Dunkin' responded to the story and told the publication: "Dunkin' is airing its first-ever Super Bowl ad this year, but you'll have to tune in on Sunday to see what's 'Ben' brewing."

 The actor will likely be associated with Dunkin' for the year and has three new movies in the pipeline. We cannot wait.
