Bernie Sanders Accidentally Cameoed in a Woman’s Dance Video in NYC and People Can’t Get Enough of His Reaction

The Vermont senator, Bernie Sanders inadvertently walked into a TikTok user's video while she was filming outside with her hotel's doorman in New York City and the video quickly went viral. The 81-year-old can be seen feeling completely baffled as he attempts to walk past the woman while she, dressed in black casuals, and the hotel's doorman dance in joy on the streets to Check ha mood, a mashup song of In ha mood by Ice Spice and Check It Out by Nicki Minaj and will.i.am. in the TikTok video shared by @taylorchamp.
The video clip captioned "Nailed it!" and uploaded on February 21, 2023, has tagged Sanders' official TikTok account. It racked up 362.6 k likes within two days of being posted. Although it would have been really impressive if he joined in and probably danced a bit, he simply looks at them dancing, not aware of what he might have walked into, and then, walks away.

People commented on how cool it was for her to run into Sanders in New York City. Some viewers even assumed that Sanders might have been angered by this encounter but a few others cleared the air by claiming that that is just how his face appears to look when there's no expression on it. He might not have been necessarily annoyed. A few comments also hilariously tried guessing what could have gone through Sanders' mind as he regretted walking into the youngster's dance video.

"You are the luckiest girl in the world," wrote @lavidatoe. "POV: Bernie changing his mind about being for the young people," commented @richiechu. "Bernie said, 'CAN Y'ALL MOVE,'" said @lotus_bugg238. "Maybe I was wrong about universal healthcare," joked @newbalancewhodis.
"He's FED UP," assumed @lauren_ishii. "Truly he's one of us," wrote @transmascingtape. "The moment he decided we should pay for college after all," added @morgantremaine. "You got the side eye from Bernie and single-handedly made him change his mind on the youths," pointed out @lindseycraven. "Y'all he's not mad he just has rbf (resting Bernie face)," claimed @victoriandandyboy.
Later, in a follow-up TikTok video, @taylorchamp shared the sound of a clip from the reality TV show Baddies West with the caption "When he told me Bernie Sanders walked by after the video and I didn't get to say hi."

This isn't Sanders' first time becoming an internet sensation. Sanders went viral in January 2021 after being photographed cozied up in a chair in a bulky winter coat and handmade mittens during President Joe Biden's inauguration, reports TODAY. What adds to his sensational internet persona is his distant cousin Larry David portraying him on Saturday Night Live over the years.
