A bloke who grew tired of his "disproportionate" body took extreme measures of going under the knife. The 33-year-old man traveled from Georgia to Turkey and surgically made his legs 9 inches taller than it naturally was. And guess what? The man spent a whopping $107K on the surgery.

Brian Sanchez is a mortgage broker who lives in the U.S. with his wife Nidia, 30 and their daughters, Kaisley, 2 and Kairi, 6. Though the man was already 6 feet tall, he had the wild thought that his legs were somewhat "disproportionate" compared to his body. LOL! The father of two is a gym fanatic and an aggressive bodybuilder. “I’m broad, have long arms, and I’m wide, but my short legs make me look different—I almost look like a huge thumb, like those thumb men from Spy Kids,” he said. In January 2022, he desired to lift his body a few inches and Sanchez figured this could happen artificially in Turkey. So he flew to the country to grow from 6ft to 6ft 7 inches. Crazy, right? But the bloke has no regrets.

The man himself had to do extensive research to reach his "ideal" height and he finally found a surgical procedure called limb-lengthening surgery in Turkey. So he thought, "OK, I guess this is what I am doing." But for Sanchez, the surgery meant more than just an attractive physical appearance. As we mentioned, he is a bodybuilder. So in addition to having legs that match his hulking figure, he also wanted to improve his weightlifting goals in the gym.

Besides, he was also conscious of being only at eye level with his wife. So now, with "extra" inches added to his legs, he can be around nine and a half inches taller than his wife. What was his family's reaction like, you may wonder? Well, they weren't surprised as much. How?

Well, his loved ones thought it was typical of Sanchez as just because "something is crazy, it never means that (he) won't do it." Sigh! It may sound normal to his beloved family but to us, it's beyond crazy. Sanchez had his first operation in December 2022.

The first surgical procedure included breaking his tibia and fibula, putting a rod inside the bones and fastening it with screws. Ouch! Subsequently, his second procedure happened in March 2023 to extend his femur. Good Lord! The fellow then followed a recovery stage. For post-surgical healing, "Brian had to be in a wheelchair and turn the screws with an Allen wrench four times a day but when he is fully recovered, he thinks the pain will have been "worth it" as he will be able to "enjoy being taller," as reported by The Independent. Phew! We couldn't take all that.

Sanchez shared his excitement and said, "It's going to be really nice just to be able to hug her (his wife) and have her all the way down there on my chest instead of being almost at eye level." The bloke added, "One of the things that I'll enjoy the most is being able to work out again and put some weight on my legs and have my body look a little bit more how I want it to." There are some additional perks of towering over ot hers as Sanchez said, “I can see above the fridge more easily—not that it’s that important, but it’s cool. I’ll be able to see other people’s bald spots, everything will be just different.”
