The ad starring the Oscar-nominated actor and his mother was aired during the game's first quarter. Cooper's mom has been his frequent red-carpet companion in the past as well. She accompanied her son to the 2022 Oscars and to the 2019 Oscars and SAG Awards. The mother-son duo has also spent quality time in the quarantine together and it's pretty evident that their bonding is really wholesome. As a result, we got to see a genuinely fun moment between the pair during the filming of the T-Mobile commercial.

According to TODAY, in the commercial, Cooper is seen dressed as a T-Mobile employee who welcomes his mom into the store. It doesn’t take them more than a few seconds to break character and start laughing. "You look like a flamingo in this," Campano remarks, puffing out Cooper's pink shirt. She also drops a bit of advice at one point in the video, asking Cooper to smile because "he looks like a clown." Responding to his mother's savage remark, the actor replies that he doesn’t need it. "I think I know what I'm doing," he says, possibly referring to his long-term experience as an actor. "I've been nominated nine times."

"Yeah, but you never won any," Campano says, poking fun at her son's track record in famous award shows. Cooper has received nine Academy Awards nominations so far but he is yet to take any home. But Cooper responds to his mom’s comment with laughter. We can’t tell how much of the commercial is scripted and how much of it is improvised but it’s certain that the duo has got a great rapport.

Apart from the hilarious commercial shoot, Cooper was also really excited to support Philadelphia Eagles as they faced off against Kansas City Chiefs. Cooper was raised just outside Philadelphia and he is a self-proclaimed Eagles superfan. In his movie Silver Linings Playbook, Cooper also starred as a character who is an avowed Eagles fan.

Along with the T-Mobile ad, Cooper also made his contribution as the 2023 Super Bowl's pregame narrator for Fox's broadcast.
