To connect with their audience, big brands make some of the most memorable commercials using pop culture and nostalgia. Because of this, businesses frequently employ renowned actors and insert memorable scenes in their advertising campaigns. For its most recent marketing campaign, a Brazilian driving school took this idea to the next level and created an epic ad that no one can forget. Autoescola Brasiliense @autoescolabrasiliense.oficial recently unveiled a commercial that bears a striking resemblance to "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," an uber-popular video game.

Everything is filmed well enough to fool anyone into thinking that it might be associated with the actual game. But upon closer inspection, you realize that the commercial is entirely original, features real actors, and just incorporates graphics and audio from the video game. According to Neatorama, the advertisement, which was produced and edited by the director Anderson Mascarenhas, perfectly captures the feel and atmosphere of "GTA: San Andreas."

The 2004 video game is referenced in both the camera movement behind the cars and the way the scenes fade. However, without its star, bodybuilder and cosplayer Matheus Senna, none of this would be possible. He is able to replicate Carl Johnson/CJ's appearance and attire from "GTA: San Andreas," as well as the clumsy and strange movements that video game characters usually made in old video games, which were released almost two decades ago.

The advertisement feels similar to the video game's side quests about a driving school. In this live-action ad, the man playing the character of CJ, the protagonist of "GTA," is required to attend some theory classes in a classroom, which he detests. Then, he gains driving skills for a motorbike, a car, a bus, and a trailer truck as well. After that, some Portuguese dialogue appears to explain what must be done in order to earn all the driver's licenses. Finally, the "mission completed" graphic appears to acknowledge CJ's accomplishment.

Mascarenhas has produced several "GTA"-inspired videos before. The "oh sh** here we go again" meme from "GTA," which featured the character running into the wall as they did in old games, was also reproduced by him in a commercial for a car dealership and shop. The video on Instagram has raked up over a million views and several comments from the "GTA" fanbase who appreciated the camera work, editing, and acting. Some even urged other companies to take lessons from these guys who made the ad. Well, one thing is certain, if the game studio ever thinks about filming a proper live-action of "GTA," they need to bring Senna the cosplayer on board to play a character for sure.
