If you love eating or making pasta, Chef Ryan Peters' (@ryanpeterspgh) social media pages are going to be an absolute pasta heaven for you. One can say that Peters is completely obsessed with making pasta. So much so that he has dedicated his entire career to it and has amassed over 5 million followers across various social media platforms. The 29-year-old spends his days shooting videos of himself kneading pasta dough with some interesting add-ons all the while showcasing his best techniques. But the most popular series of videos he has created out of boredom involves putting an insane number of egg yolks in pasta dough.

According to TODAY, he started preparing pasta dough from scratch using a single egg and has ever since then kept doubling the number of egg yolks he uses to make a fresh batch of pasta. People are stunned to see him dump an obscene amount of eggs into the pasta during a time when there is a scarcity of eggs in the U.S. and a single crate of eggs is pretty expensive as well. Nobody could have thought of putting 512 egg yolks in a single batch of pasta other than this pasta-making star.

After attending a culinary school at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Peters has spent 10 years working in restaurants and clubs around the country but his focus was not on pasta until four years ago. He told the outlet that he had made a batch of pasta for his wife at home which turned out to be impressive enough to set him on a journey to continue making pasta in the most unique way possible. "I'm coming up now on two years of doing this full-time and creating this crazy brand for myself," he said.

"Being able to share my passion for pasta with millions, travel the country and make pasta in the most insane places and just really you know kind of carve out this cool little lane for myself," he added. He also explained that the mega batch of pasta with 512 eggs took him two days to complete. He had the added pressure to film the process as well. His 512 egg yolk video went viral across TikTok and Instagram accumulating over 30 million views. "I'm doing everything myself so like manning the camera and changing things around and then just like making the actual demo is like insane process and then rolling it all out. So, in total about two days," he continued.

But the task of making pasta with so many eggs has not been cheap for him. According to the social media culinary sensation, it cost him somewhere over $1000. "I have yet to run into any issues finding eggs," Peters revealed. "I don't buy them all from one store because I already get weird looks from people who have a cart full of eggs. But I've been to every grocery store and can easily buy as many eggs as I want." Despite the baffled stares and comments on the economy, Peters continues to increase the level of difficulty with each of his pasta batches.
