People Left Baffled as Cloud 'Malfunctions' and Pours Rain on a Single Patch of Road

Some clouds are moody and rebellious and sometimes the evidence leaks...literally. If you were standing in the middle of a particular spot on the Rue du Château in Paris at a very particular time, you could have been the only person who experienced a highly localized torrential downpour while everyone else was as dry as a drought-prone land. After watching a video that appears to show rain falling in one specific location, some people are wondering if we're all just living in a simulation. The footage was posted by @d_a_v_y__ and has gained over 19 million views. It was captioned in French and translates to, "We are looking for a competent plumber to repair a leak in the sky."
Some people have speculated this is the result of a 'cloud malfunctioning', which appears to show heavy rain thundering down on one stretch of Parisian road while pedestrians walk by unaffected. The pavement and parts of the road around the downpour are dry in the video, indicating that the alleged rainfall is extremely localized. Some even paused to look up at the sky in the hopes of seeing the source of the rain, but because the footage doesn't reveal the source of the water, the internet has taken on the arduous task of indulging in wild speculation. We ought to accept that rain does tend to fall over areas larger than a few feet, so if this was caused by an errant cloud, it's an extremely unusual and rare occurrence.
People had very stunned reactions to the clip. "It is raining in one spot, we are in a simulation!" exclaimed @CoolHandLuke_82. Many people compared it to The Truman Show, specifically the scene where poor old Truman Burbank (Jim Carrey) gets very specifically rained on due to his entire life being a simulation revolving around him. "The Truman Show is real!?!? Lol" commented @CalienteChinito. Another Twitter user @the4some1 said, "reminds me of the truman show." Some people took a more rational approach and suggested that the water was most likely from a hosepipe spraying down from somewhere above, such as the roof of one of the surrounding buildings. Although, it would have been better if a geological explanation could be provided. But that wouldn't be funny. Would it?

The clip was later re-posted on Twitter by @AnnieYuTV in hopes of gathering some explanation. The comments couldn't help but make hilarious guesses. "Targeted rainfall? Focused precipitation?" guessed @ecl326. "Rooftop sprinkler on a green roof that is missing the mark?" questioned @hbwx. "I'm not saying it was aliens but it was aliens" claimed @JohnFriedman. "Highly localized weather event," commented @ImaHwyStarr. "The actual result of Trickle Down Economics," joked @DerrickWard4. "Jetliner just dumped the commode," wrote @chickenbaconran. "God has jokes?" asked @I_Luv_Thinkers. "Divine humor" added @DrexRoss701. Divine humor it does seem.
