Jimmy Kimmel Brought a Donkey on Stage at the Oscars and It Was Love at First Sight For Colin Farrell

People now wish someone would look at them the way Farrell looked at the diva "certified emotional support donkey," Jenny.

There were a good number of divas and dashers seen on the red carpet of the 95th Oscars this year. The 2023 Academy Award show unfolded at the Dolby Theatre and was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel for the third time. The list of nominees included The Banshees of Inisherin in which two lifelong friends find themselves at an impasse when one abruptly ends their relationship, with alarming consequences for both of them. The tragic comedy film has a donkey named Jenny playing Pádraic's (Colin Farrell’s character) sidekick, and Kimmel had to use that information as an opportunity to make everyone in the room chuckle, as seen in this video by Page Six.

Mid-show, Kimmel brought a donkey onto the Dolby Theatre stage. There was no word on whether this was the real donkey from the best picture nominee or a lookalike. Nonetheless, Farrell, who was seated next to his son Henry, 13, seemed overjoyed to see the animal and even blew a kiss to the diva donkey. "Not only is Jenny an actress, she's a certified emotional support donkey. Or at least, that's what we told the airline to get her on the plane from Ireland," Kimmel joked.

"So if you’re feeling upset that you didn’t win, or you’re anxious, or you maybe just love mules, feel free to come up and give her a hug," he said implying the donkey to be emotionally supportive. Kimmel then pointed out Farrell and Banshees of Inisherin co-star Brendan Gleeson in the audience and made a reference to the plot of the film. "Jenny I want you to see, there’s your friend Colin right there, and there’s your friend Brendan whose finger you ate — you want to say thank you?" The world of Twitter couldn't handle how precious Farrell's reaction was when he saw the donkey and now, they need someone in their life who looks at them the way Farrell looked at Jenny.

Jenny the donkey was allegedly the biggest diva of the film set and we get to know that from this episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert given below.
