Dad Mimics Influencer Daughter’s Selfie Pose and It's Cracking Up The Internet | “Are They Looking To Adopt?”

It's not easy to be a social media influencer. The hard work behind creating engaging content, keeping up with the ever-changing algorithms, handling trolls and putting up a fake smile can reduce anyone to tears. The older generation seldom understands or acknowledges the effort it takes. Baby Boomers and Gen X even make fun of millennials for leading the influencer life.
Zoe Roe, aka @zozoroe is an influencer who frequently shares fun content related to lifestyle but the videos she posts with her parents mostly with her 'daddy cool' blow the internet. The videos are a laugh riot. Her dad is the ideal partner-in-crime and often does hilarious acts with her.
She posted a video from a vacation spot with her parents where she's wearing a red dress and holding a glass of beverage. And like any 'normal' millennial/influencer, she tilted her body to the side and moved her shoulder upwards to take a selfie. Sitting across from her, her father began to imitate her selfie pose. LOL.
Zoe immediately switched to her back camera and focused on her dad who was still making fun of her. The video text overlay read, "My parents started making fun of me for taking a selfie with my drink." Her dad gave hilarious facial expressions while trying to mimic Zoe's pose and her mother joined in. Her mom directed him and said, "Wait, you gotta do a little shoulder too." The fun-loving dad then began to move his shoulders like a model would do during a sexy photoshoot with a drink in hand, of course. Zoe's laughter could be heard consistently from the background while her dad kept sipping, posing and, finally, he winked at the camera.
The video has garnered 2.1 million views on Instagram and over 950K on TikTok. People loved her father's selfie antics and showered love on her cheerful parents. An Instagram user, @reworked_den wrote, "I thought he was going to pour it over himself." @tracydimarco_ added, "I am crying. Are they looking to adopt?" Same girl, same! People on TikTok couldn't stop cracking up as well. A TikTok user @kirstymcthomas quipped, "Dad passes the vibe check." Another user, @queserasera.c commented, "Now I want to hang out with them." Zoe's caption on TikTok read, "Momma and Papa Roe were made for the influencer life." Undoubtedly, the parents have all the traits to become famous influencers.
While we are still figuring out what really irks parents when millennials capture selfies and post them online in real-time, at least we can find humor in them to fill this weird "generational gap." In this similar story, a video was posted by @barstoolsports, where two women are doing a photo shoot on the beach, and their dads are mimicking their pose at a distance.
They embarrassed their daughters in public by making fun of them. Others on the beach could be seen laughing. Hahaha! We don't know whether our parents will ever come to terms with the millennial lifestyle, but one thing's for sure, in the process, we may be lucky to steal memorable moments of laughter.
