Just days after Guinness World Records named Pearl, a two-year-old chihuahua, the World's Shortest Living Dog, Demi Moore said she's thinking about submitting her own furry companion for the title. The 60-year-old actress believes her pet dog Pilaf could set a world record! "Today, @guinnessworldrecords announced the World's Shortest Dog. I'm not sure about you but I believe Pilaf could give Pearl a run for her money! Should we include @pilaf.littlemouse?"

Moore posted a series of photos of Pilaf, a chihuahua, being measured against a $100 bill on Instagram. Moore also asked her Instagram Story followers this week if she should nominate Pilaf for the title. The pocket pup, Pilaf also has their own Instagram account with nearly 8,000 followers where Moore chronicles the pup's daily activities. On Pilaf's Instagram account, we can see how small and short the pup is. Moore dresses Pilaf up in small adorable hats and costumes and even compares the dog's size to corn.

Many of Moore's followers and celebrity friends supported this idea of hers. "Yessssssss!" said @reneefrench. "Love that you used a hundred dollar bill," commented @samantharonson. "Oh my gosh, yes! Little Pilaf has this!" wrote @kady_rose. "Smol dog, huge cuteness," complimented @louthechichi. "But of course! 🐶 💵" wrote @helenachristensen. "Genius use of prop 💶" added @elimizrahi. Moore's daughter Tallulah Willis also commented on the shots, writing, "NOT THE BENJAMIN." "You are truly a legend," she added in a second comment. The official Guinness World Records Instagram account similarly seemed impressed by Pilaf's small stature and commented with emoticons.

Her Instagram whirligig also featured a similar photo of Pearl (who was officially crowned on April 9, 2023) being measured against a dollar bill. According to Guinness World Records, Pearl is 3.59 inches tall and is shorter than a popsicle stick and a standard TV remote. The puppy is only 5 inches long about the size of a dollar bill. The current world record holder weighed less than an ounce when she was born in September 2020. The dog, now two years old, weighs 1.22 lbs. She is related to Miracle Milly, the previous holder of the shortest dog title who was 3.8 inches tall. Milly passed away in 2020 before Pearl, the daughter of one of Milly's identical sisters was born. "We're blessed to have her," Pearl's owner Vanesa Semler told Guinness World Records. "And to have this unique opportunity to break our own record and share with the world this amazing news." She also described her pooch as "small like a ball" and said the chihuahua is slightly taller than a teacup and "a bit of a diva."
