Doja Cat was at a loss for words during her recent Met Gala interview. So instead, she decided to "meow" throughout, and fans were both confused and amused at her "commitment to stay true to her character." Undoubtedly, the [Doja] Cat chose to look like a "cat" and nailed it, too.

The 27-year-old rapper and singer attended the annual event dressed as designer Karl Lagerfeld's cat Choupette. If the dress wasn't convincing enough, she completed her OOTN [Outfit Of The Night], verbalizing feelings in a typical feline fashion.

Although the MET Gala carpet is home to many outlandish costumes, Doja Cat's custom silver and white ombré beaded gown by Oscar de la Renta was a memorable tribute to this year's theme. The theme this year was around the late fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld. But what set her look apart from others was that her face resembled an actual cat.

The event was held in the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 1, 2023. Harper's Bazaar mentioned how Doja Cat's ensemble was an Oscar de la Renta hooded gown with 350,000 silver and white bugle beads assembled via 5,000 hours of work. It also had cat ears and a feathered train to stay true to Lagerfeld's beloved, white Burmese cat.

Fashion and style are the foundations of the Met Gala, and Doja Cat channeled her inner feline at this event. But the impressive prosthetics on her face really rounded off her look. The perfectly done cat-eye makeup and a diamond on her forehead turned Doja Cat into a literal cat. But trust us—it still didn't suffice.

She went deeper into her 'cat character' to look more convincing. A now-viral interview of the rapper with Vogue raised many eyebrows. The interviewer Emma Chamberlain caught a moment with the feline beauty, and she stunned her fans by not saying a word. Instead, she "meowed."

Chamberlain asked Doja Cat to tell her about her couture and the dress, and she meowed. The presenter played along and pretended to understand what that meant. But the presenter didn't give up and asked Doja Cat about her inspiration for tonight's outfit and to explain the same in honest detail.

Browny points for those guessing what Doja Cat replied. Yes, a meow, once again. Thrice this time, "Meow, meow, meow." You know the drill by now, right? And the rest of the interview was full of cat noises that left people scratching their heads.

A TikTok video clip from her Vogue interview garnered millions of views and likes. Twitter had a hilarious field day as well. A Twitter user, @DirectorPHARB, wrote, "This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen." Another tweet by @CartiersSaint read, "She was very committed to the act." We have to agree with this one. Another Twitter user, @dojalipa, seemed impressed and commented, "She made it iconic without lifting a finger." @spearmminte joked, "Why did I understand everything she said."

Doja Cat indeed stole the show, but Jared Leto gave tough competition to her. He took it upon himself literally and turned in a head-to-toe cat costume.
