Drake's Sports Betting Curse Strikes Again and the Rapper Just Can't Stop Losing Money | “Drake Curse Continues”

The Canadian rapper Drake has refused to learn from his past mistakes and continues his mad sports betting habit despite losing millions. Multi-award winner Drake has been sharing his betting stakes before the game but gets labeled as a "Drake Curse" every time.

Celebrity sports betting is a thing, and Drake is one of the famous celebs who has covered a substantial number of games with his wild Bitcoin stakes through the crypto casino Stak, which he joined under the name DeepPockets6 in December 2021. From boxing to NFL, UFC to basketball, football to baseball and even Formula One, Drake has put his Bitcoin money into almost every sport but has set the record for losing. Drake has put down a whopping $250K on an all-underdogs Final Four March Madness parlay to win $1,580,500 if only the Florida Atlantic Owls and Miami Hurricanes had won, per New York Post. The 36-year-old rapper also shares his outrageous stakes with his 132 million Instagram followers but becomes subject to memes and jokes.

The rapper has witnessed victory a few times and his high-profile bets gain enough attention but the 'Drake curse' phenomenon has tarnished his image because whenever he backs a team, it loses the game. He is known to put a substantial amount on teams and athletes and most have been unsuccessful. The painful past year brought losses as he placed a $1 million bet on Argentina to win the World Cup final but still lost.
The Laugh Now Cry Later singer experienced another setback in 2022 as he was wildly unsuccessful in UFC betting, losing a combined $2.6 million in wagers during the year. The rapper also lost the bet on Argentina to win the World Cup final because he had them win in 90 minutes, yet the game was won on penalties. Losing the bets is one thing but he has a habit of sharing stake details with his fans on social media platforms which draws a lot of ridicule to the rapper. A Twitter post by @br_betting had people cornering him for his foolish decisions.
A Twitter user, @BrianDornbush, commented, "In Vegas, he has a history of losing at the tables and then demanding his money back, or he will flame the casino to all his followers. Just ask Resorts World. They even gave him his money back." @adam_tyer had a hilarious comment on the 'Drake Curse' and wrote, "The Drake curse continues to be such a profitable bet. I wish I could just follow him around and bet the opposite of everything he does."

It has been observed that Drake also brings bad omens to athletes because the likes of Sergio Aguero, Jadon Sancho, Layvin Kurzawa, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Paul Pogba lost matches and drew misfortune after they clicked pictures with him. But to be fair to the rapper, he found some luck in 2023 when he successfully bet $700,000 on the Chiefs in the 2023 Super Bowl with Patrick Mahomes.
