People Are in Stitches Over This Dramatic Dog Thinking He's an "Orphan" Every Time He Forgets His Way Home

Nobody likes feeling abandoned. Having a sense of belonging wherever we are, plays a great role in our mental well-being. This is true for animals as well and this dog's hilariously over-the-top reaction upon forgetting he is loved, pampered, and has a home to call his own proves this fact effortlessly.

Bear, TikTok user Wendy Diaz's pet dog, is as forgetful as they come. Diaz—who goes by @bigwendyyy on the platform—set off chuckles across the internet when she shared a video of her pup seemingly acting abandoned after forgetting his way to the front door.

The video shows him running back and forth down the stairs in the garden, desperately searching for his family even as Diaz calls out to him and tries to reassure him.

After a certain point, the adorably "dumb" dog—as suggested by Diaz—breaks out in loud screeching screams as if asking, "where are you, hooman?" His loud cries show how anxious he feels; as if he had been left all alone in the world. And before you ask, no, Bear is neither blind nor hard of hearing. He just likes being dramatic. 

Diaz captioned the video, "Every morning he forgets where the door is and then cries when he thinks he's an orphan." The video shows her continuously trying to console her dramatic canine from just a few feet away, but his panic cries block out all the voices for him. The clip amassed over 50 million views and 9.7 million likes. Diaz also shared the video on her Instagram account.

Diaz is a Rubik's Cube queen. Other than her dog's antics, she also shares the artwork that she designs by arranging Rubik's Cubes on canvas. Ever since the video was posted on February 6, 2023, TikTok users have become the pup's fans. They have been asking Diaz to post more Bear content, and she obliges. 

A TikToker, @kuhhrazy, seems to have fallen in love with Bear's gorgeous appearance and joked: "He can't see with all that bangs. This video is so funny, though." @sarahasunshine drew a comparison of the dog's crying reaction and wrote, "Me when I lose my mom at the grocery store." 

Bear's dramatic theatrical performance entertained people so much that many announced they now recognize Diaz as his hooman. His agonized cries attracted hilarious comments on Instagram as well. @lolabunn1123 joked, "Chill on bear he probably got a little glaucoma." @sleeepypeachh commented, "This is like telling a three-year-old where something right in front of them is, and they still don’t see it."

Some concerned TikTok users asked Diaz if his hearing and sight have been tested. In a subsequent video, Diaz replied to the audience by telling her dog: "Bear, you have gaslit everyone into believing you're blind and deaf," and also pulled his bangs into a bun for better sight. It appears Bear has got "diva" in his blood.
