The poor guy looked lost and clueless when TikTok user @kiarra.hillman's niece introduced the boy to the family. The video was an instant hit on the video-sharing platform with around 2M likes and over 270k likes. It has gained similar success on its Instagram repost as well. The video shows a large family sitting around the dining table, about to have their dinner.
Suddenly, they all stand up, put one hand over their heart, and start chanting the pledge of allegiance. The new guy also stands up but his face gives a "WTH" expression.
The TikTok video was captioned, "Think we will see him again?" The question sounded more appropriate for the family as they scared the hell out of the boy. The Hillman family met the guy for the first time, and instead of going the traditional way, they planned to freak him out with a peculiar prank. The internet was all for it.

TikTok user @boucher1997 wrote, "He is rethinking his entire relationship." Another user, @lifewithlacyloulou, suggested that the prank is worth trying. "I am so doing this if I ever take another boy around my fam," they commented.
Many families have a weird set of traditions that they follow. In some families, saying a little prayer or grace before dinner is an everyday norm. But the Hillman family convinced the guy that they chant the pledge of allegiance before dinner and roped the poor guy in.
He, in his helplessness, obliged. Toward the end of the video, the guy turned visibly red and looked puzzled. The video was also shared on Hillman's Instagram account. She gave the prank idea credit to a fellow TikTok user, Kayla Cox. It was indeed a hit as TikTok users who saw both pranks thoroughly enjoyed this one too.
