"Did anyone order Door Dash?" he reportedly asked fans in the stands, determined to deliver the order even in the midst of a game.
A delivery driver went the extra mile by taking a customer's McDonald's order right onto a basketball court in the middle of a game. The game was between the Duquesne Dukes and the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers held at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh.
The determined driver was spotted wearing a yellow jacket and looking lost while he barged onto the court. As stunned observers looked on, he wandered around the court, asking who had placed the order. This unusual moment was around when the Dukes went to shoot, reports PEOPLE.
People who are there are confirming that it was, in fact, a midgame food delivery! https://t.co/vgt9LFjU6A

According to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, with about 16 minutes remaining in the game, Dukes forward Austin Rotroff intercepted a pass between Loyola players Philip Alston and Jacob Hutson. Behind the play, a McDonald's delivery person attempted to enter the court with a bag and a fountain drink. The delivery driver was then pushed off the court by a referee as he stood inches away from a Loyola player while the ball was in motion.
The driver walked on the court asking, "Did anyone order Door Dash?" to fans in the stands before an arena staffer grabbed him by the arm and ushered him off the hardwood, saying, "You've got to get off the court, man." The game was called off at that point, and security removed the man from the court.
A member of the press showed Rotroff a video of the unexpected guest and had the player laughing. "I didn't see it at all," Rotroff said. "I know I was on the court because I had a bunch of people texting me about it because like I was in the clip, but I didn't notice it in the game at all. I’ll have to rewatch the footage and see what he could have done better." Since the driver was wearing a microphone, some speculated online that it was a prank.

The food was intended for someone working on the video board, who eventually received it, confirmed reporter Abby Schnable. "UberEats guy was on the court...absolutely wild," she posted when a fan wondered, "Where was security? Was nobody there to stop the guy and tell him to get off the court?"
"Have you ever been to a low D-1 game? There is no security," replied another fan. Following that, Duquesne coach Keith Dambrot marveled and added, "Only at Duquesne can a guy deliver food on the court during a game... Craziest thing I've ever seen in my life! Our guys were dying laughing in [the locker room]. Guy had a job to do. He did his job well." Ultimately, the home team Duquesne prevailed, defeating Loyola 72-58.
4. I will personally tackle anyone else who does this. Just let the athletes play the game without worry that they are going to get hurt by a stray delivery person.

It is common to enjoy watching the game with some snacks on the side. We don't know what exactly went through the delivery driver's head while stealing the spotlight and why he thought walking on the court in the middle of a game would be a good idea but it would be nice if our delivery drivers were this determined. It was a memorable game indeed.
