Gwen Stefani Gets Trolled For Wearing Exaggerated Fur Boots at CMT Music Awards | “Absolutely Hideous”

The former Voice judge, Gwen Stefani, has a way of rocking in style. While walking on the blue carpet with her husband, Blake Shelton for the 2023 CMT Music Awards, Stefani managed to steal the show and some trolls with her look for the evening. Her disunited outfit by Valentino Haute Couture turned so many heads that we cannot imagine ourselves in her 'boots.'

The Luxurious singer wore an oversized black blazer, long skinny tie and white shirt with a tiny gold glitter beaded miniskirt and fishnet tights and the God's Country singer wore jeans with a jacket, vest, and tie. Stefani accessorized with Untamed Petals jewelry and red lipstick and pulled her hair back into two sleek buns. However, one element that set the entire look apart and left us with mixed feelings were her black knee-high furry boots. The 53-year-old shared a fun behind-the-scenes video on her Instagram page, revealing that she was wearing a Valentino ensemble and makeup from her line GXVE Beauty by Gwen Stefani.
Some fans praised the singer's daring fashion sense and took to the comments section to applaud her ensemble. "No one will ever rock the blonde & the red lip like her. 👏 no one," wrote @leighkelz. "THIS WHOLE LOOK IS AN ABSOLUTE SERVE QUEEEEEEEN," commented @jenlovesgwen. "Omg I love this look," complimented @sixties_pixie. "SLAYING SO HARD," added another fan @hazelemilyn. "Gwen. I could NOT love this look more. Could NOT. Like it is perfectionnnnnnnn," stated @legitthecutest.
Meanwhile, a few others weren't buying it and trolled her for the full-of-fur cowboy boots that made quite a bit of a dramatic fashion statement. "What are you wearing," commented @charmayfield. "I'm sorry but she just butchered her own song," wrote @carebearoxox2020. "This isn't style," claimed @miladylaurie. "Good idea with this outfit but.....u missed the mark....again!" added @martinjhinojosa. "Sasquatch legs!" commented @jeanwendy20. "Those boots!!" wrote @got.kink. "Love ya, but this one is a miss," added @dundy2013. "I love everything but the shoes," said @lindsey_larae_novak. "not your best look," wrote @rappchristiakadoxie_ma. "I’m all for some funky style but this is just a bad one," claimed @heather73lovesfashion.
On another post, the fans weren't having it. "Not the furry boots again from 2010," commented @junior_lsd. "she looks like she borrowed her dad's suit jacket and the shirt is tailored to her. Just looks very borrowed and has to return immediately vs. a stylist who actually took the time to tailor the look properly. I love R&M but you should never get so comfortable that you stop caring about the fit," critiqued @prodigy_babyyy. "What is going on with her? I dig the throwback look but the boots? Looks like a costume," wrote @rccweber. "This was absolutely hideous," added@pjc820. "A bit tragic," said @iamhurleygrrl.
Stefani also posted a follow-up video on the carpet before her performance and change of costume which also faced similar criticism.
It was a stylish night for the singer, who also performed one of her biggest hits, Just a Girl, with Carly Pearce. She took off her boots and wore a retro red-and-white polka dot halter dress by Versace with black strappy heels for the performance.
