Gwyneth Paltrow is getting the meme treatment after turning up to a court hearing in an interesting choice of style. According to CNN, Paltrow appeared in court on March 21, 2023, after she was slapped with a lawsuit from a retired doctor from Utah. As per the claims made by the optometrist, Dr. Terry Sanderson, Paltrow apparently slammed into him on a beginners' skiing course at the Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, back in 2016. Sanderson suffered severe injuries and is now suing the actress for $300,000 in damage related to being allegedly run over by Paltrow on the mountain slopes.

The matter got heated up and the media took some serious attention when the Oscar-winning actress counter-sued Sanderson claiming that he was the one who actually slammed into her during skiing. Paltrow might be doing this to clear her name but there is no way she can escape the internet trolls after her pictures from the court in a white turtle neck and aviator glasses surfaced online.

Her choice of courthouse attire made the netizens draw comparisons between her and the infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. One person even joked how “Paltrow is trying to get that Oscar playing Jeffrey Dahmer.” And we can’t deny that her courthouse fashion is bizarrely similar to that of the notorious serial killer.

Other Twitter users also cooked up different scenarios which can fit with Paltrow's looks such as "a woman who poisoned her husband" and "being on trial as a wife who hired a hitman to kill her husband." The funny reactions on Twitter were seemingly endless.

According to PEOPLE, Paltrow's children, whom she shares with her ex-husband Chris Martin, daughter Apple, 18, and son Moses, 16 will testify during the trial along with her current husband, Brad Falchuk. Sanderson originally described the incident as "a hit-and-run ski crash at Deer Valley, Utah" where Paltrow allegedly "skied out of control and hit" him in the back, adding she "got up, turned and skied away, leaving Sanderson stunned, lying in the snow, seriously injured," according to his 2019 lawsuit, per the outlet.

Sanderson also requested damages in excess of $3.1 million claiming the crash left him with "permanent traumatic brain injury," four broken ribs, pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, emotional distress, and disfigurement." Paltrow responded to this by saying that Sanderson was attempting to "exploit her celebrity and wealth." We don't know who is to blame here but the internet sure had a great laugh at Paltrow’s courtroom fashion choice. We pray for the right person to get justice.
