Gwyneth Paltrow has been embroiled in a legal battle with a retired doctor for a while now and it has grabbed the attention of media and netizens alike. Paltrow got sued by retired optometrist Terry Sanderson for running into him on a ski slope in 2016 and Paltrow countersued him claiming that the man ran into her. As the trial progressed, TikTok users cashed in on the opportunity to create some hilarious content. 

After all, the internet has loved courtroom drama ever since the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard legal feud got wide media coverage. A TikTok user @keithedwards clipped a short audio and footage from the trial where the Iron Man actress can be seen answering the lawyers and it quickly turned viral with other users on the platform using the audio clip to churn out hilarious videos of their own. 

“I’m just telling you the truth of what actually happened. That’s all I can do,” Paltrow took the stand and began narrating her side of the story. As several people compared the courtroom drama to "an SNL skit" and even hoped to see a "lifetime movie being made out of it" on Twitter, the Tiktok crowd started using the audio to reenact moments where they were lying and were stuck in tricky situations. 

@thestunningprince made a funny TikTok out of the audio and wrote: "Me, after telling a story and leaving out all of the parts where I acted like a clinically insane deranged person who deserves to be locked up in jail." @evathevirgo gave an astrological twist to her post and captioned her video: "Cancer, Libra, and Pisces placements telling their side of the story and leaving out all the parts that were actually their fault."

Paltrow’s appearance on the court in lavish designer clothes was also criticized in the media and some even called her trial “Paltrow’s best role in years.” However, everything must come to an end and so did the trial as the jurors found her not liable for the ski crash that occurred in 2016 at a resort in Utah.

The 76-year-old Sanderson who sued the actress was seeking  $300,000, per BBC reports. Sanderson said that Thursday's verdict was "very disappointing." per the outlet. The 50-year-old actress had countersued for $1 plus legal fees which was granted to her and she thanked the jury for "their thoughtfulness in handling this case." Sanderson was found entirely at fault for the accident and the case was concluded.

We don't know if Paltrow is going to enjoy skiing after this ugly trial or not but we hope that there are no accidents in the future and she can bag some roles outside the courtroom.
