Only Harry Styles Can Rip His Pants on Stage Before Celeb Crush Jennifer Aniston and Handle It in Style

We've all had an anxious nightmare or two of us inadvertently humiliating ourselves in public. But for most of us, those dreams rarely come true, and when they do, they don't happen onstage in front of tens of thousands of people—including our celebrity crush. Not for the legendary Harry Styles. He had a nightmare-come-true moment on stage at a California concert on January 26, 2023. 

Styles ripped his pants in front of at least 17,000 people while performing Music For A Sushi Restaurant on his Love On Tour concert in Inglewood, California. To make matters worse, Jennifer Aniston—who he revealed in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres years ago was his "first celebrity crush"—was also in the audience, reports Uproxx. If you think the nightmare ends there, it didn't.

The As It was singer didn't just rip his pants... he ripped them right at the crotch. At a pivotal moment in the song, Styles bent down on his knees, leaned back, and was sliding towards the audience on stage when the crotch of his leather pants split right down the middle. Aniston was sitting only a few rows away and witnessed the awkward moment. According to Comic Sands, other celebrities in attendance included Kylie Jenner, Trevor Noah, and Ellen DeGeneres.

Although Styles was visibly shocked by the unexpected wardrobe malfunction, he quickly got up and covered himself with his hand before turning away from the crowd. He eventually wrapped himself in a Pride flag and enthusiastically continued with the show.

Styles is often regarded as one of the best-dressed musicians in the world and he has sported everything from a rainbow-hued sequin jumpsuit to Marc Jacobs womenswear in style, per GQ. He is also known to own an expensive suit collection, most of which are custom-made by Gucci. We didn't quite expect a wardrobe malfunction from him on stage but he also managed the awkward moment in style.

Fans did not hold back from making the best of the situation by tweeting their amusing reactions online. "My favorite part of the Harry Styles concert tonight was watching him rip his pants down his crotch and use a pride flag to cover up," tweeted @JolieJanet.

"Sorry, can’t talk. I’m too busy watching TikToks of Harry Styles ripping his pants during a concert from every single vantage point," wrote @alexandergold. "The literal shock in Harry styles face when he ripped his pants on stage," pointed out @itiisari. "Honestly ripping his pants when his crotch is like 10 feet from people’s faces is one of the most Harry Styles things to ever happen to him," added @ddipyouinhoney. "This is a family show or is it?" 

In a past interview, Styles shared his most embarrassing moment with The Press Party. An over-excited follower had apparently hit him with a tampon on stage. "I got hit in the face with a tampon!” exclaimed the Fine Line singer. 

Embarrassing moments aside, Harry Styles made it big at the Grammys this year by bagging awards for best pop vocal performance and Album of the Year for Harry's House.
