It’s a sad day for Taylor Swift fans who are collectively known as Swifties. According to the exclusive reports of Entertainment Tonight, Taylor Swift and actor Joe Alwyn have apparently finally parted ways after a six-year-long relationship. The heartbroken Swifties who refused to believe the news has taken to social media to post their reaction. Among all the mass hysteria, a section of Swift’s fans is also fearful that comedian "Pete Davidson might take a chance to slide into Swift’s DM" and get into a relationship with her.

The Blank Space singer and the British actor broke up a few weeks ago, as per the reports of the outlet. The outlet has also learned that the "split was amicable" and "it was not dramatic." Apparently, their relationship has run its course and that could be the reason why Alwyn wasn't spotted in any of the concerts of Swift. The 33-year-old singer is currently on her The Eras tour, which heads to Tampa, Florida next week.

The Swifties are in utter disbelief and so are other netizens who knew about Swift's longest relationship. Pete Davidson, on the other hand, is known for dating women who are fresh out of their break-up and people wonder how Davidson manages to snag the prettiest women from the industry. In a 2018 interview with Vogue, Alwyn also dished out a few things about his relationship with the singer. "I’m aware people want to know about that side of things," he told the magazine. "I think we have been successfully very private and that has now sunk in for people." It's also no surprise to the fans of the songstress that she has composed numerous hit tracks inspired by her relationship with Alwyn. As per Entertainment Tonight, Alwyn is also credited for the track Sweet Nothing on Midnights and in 2020 albums, Folklore and Evermore on the tracks Exile, Betty, Champagne Problems, Coney Island, and Evermore.

So far Swift has dated a string of famous faces from Hollywood. Some of her earliest romances include Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, Taylor Lautner and her much-publicized romance with Tom Hiddleston. But Swift had been going steady with Alwyn since 2016 so the news of their break-up came as an ugly blow to her fans.

Though it might be bitter news for all the Swift enthusiasts who wholeheartedly supported her relationship with Alwyn and believed that she might have finally found her true love, they might just cheer up if Swift announces yet another album inspired by her relationship with her ex, like she usually does.
