Hugh Grant and his co-star Chris Pine have been setting every press junket ablaze with their electrifying chemistry and witty selves lately. The duo is starring together in the newly released film titled Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which is based on the famous tabletop role-playing game. As a part of the film’s promotional tour, Pine and Grant made an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden on March 29, 2023 and participated in the game of Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts. And just like the quirky title of the game, the rules were pretty disgusting. 

Remember how Grant joked about his own face looking like a scrotum while presenting at the Oscars in March 2023? We can guess that he has managed to keep the punchline going for good. While appearing on The Late Late Show, the two actors managed to dodge controversial questions about each other’s careers but as a result, they had to munch from a wide selection of unappetizing meals. From worm-and-mayonnaise to bug porridge, congealed blood pudding, and fisheye skewers, James Corden served them the worst-of-the-worst treats. 

When it was Pine’s turn to answer the question about his least favorite movie of the Notting Hill actor, Pine chose to take a dare and bite down on the cattle testicles chosen for him by Grant.  "I cannot tell you how many veins there are in this," Pine remarked. "This cattle testicle — it's intense." As Grant popped up the question to him, Pine had to make an ugly choice. "See, I can't do it," he said. "I can't do it to you."

Pine even attempted to escape his punishment by trying to eat the cabbage surrounding the testicle pieces but it was all in vain. "Weren't you in You Got Mail? Were you in that?" Pine asked in a last-ditch effort to avoid tasting from the diabolically bad platter. But Corden dismissed his guess since Grant wasn’t in that 1998 film.

Pine let out a curse and attempted to chew through the testicle but couldn't break through its tight coating. Instead, he ended up spitting into a handy trash can as Corden and Grant visibly recoiled in disgust. "I can't even begin to tell you what just squirted out of his mouth," Corden said jokingly. "Was it sperm?" Grant chimed in. "Did it squirt on you?"

"I would happily shred my IMDb page because I specialized in being bad for decades, really. I got better," Grant said when he was asked to name the film he'd like to remove from his CV or have a taste of mayonnaise-and-worm shepherd's pie. "Why don't we stop talking and name a film?" Pine interjected, making the whole table laugh. 

"As you know, as someone in the industry, it'd be one thing for me to say I was bad but I can't bring down the rest of the wonderful colleagues by saying it was bad, so that's my dilemma," Grant explained before peering down at the pie and then naming The Lady and the Highwayman. The 1988 low-budget film didn't create a buzz and it’s well-understood why Grant wants it off his list of credits. Later in the show, Pine also dodged another tricky question of ranking his Into The Woods costars by taking a bite into the locust dish.

The whole episode might have made us cringe and almost throw up along with the actors who were feasting on the so-called rare delicacies but we can’t deny that people would love to see Grant and Pine act together again.
