People are smoking cannabis in a mass gathering and Snoop Dogg doesn’t show up in the crowd? It can’t possibly happen. Recently, the rap mogul got the London crowd as excited as little kids spotting Santa Claus on Christmas. According to LADbible, the crowd that gathered in Hyde Park on 20 April was convinced that they had spotted the Sensual Seduction hitmaker joining the weed smokers to celebrate the 4/20 day. It could have been the haze of cannabis that trolled everyone. It wasn't Dogg but a lookalike of the rapper instead!

Through their glazed vision, the smokers spotted a tall man dressed in white Converse, blue trousers and a blue shirt advertising the cannabis subscription service Releaf emerging from a crowd of people at Hyde Park. Puzzled and excited folks quickly crowded pseudo-Dogg and tried to grab a selfie with him. The man walked calmly through the crowd, looked pretty chill and stoned enough to be a guest of honor at the gathering.

His braided hair in cornrow style and dark sunglasses were so convincing that any close kin of Dogg could have mistaken him for the real guy as well. He kept mum but didn’t stop anyone from trying to take a quick selfie with him. Several netizens captured video footage and still images and circulated them online, baffling the internet crowd about how easily the Dogg doppelganger fooled everyone.

One person uploaded a closeup video of the lookalike on YouTube showing the individual scrolling through his phone and no one could deny that the resemblance was uncanny. Well, if Dogg was actually visiting Hyde Park on that particular date, he would have been visiting for a good reason. Marijuana users assemble there every year to raise their voices for the decriminalization of weed. A pro-weed site Hemp Elf also advertised the huge crowd and encouraged people to join in, writing: "The term 420 has become a symbol of unity and celebration within the cannabis community. It represents a shared understanding and passion for the plant and its potential benefits."

After almost getting mobbed by the crowd, a fair share of attendees in Hyde Park realized that the rap veteran won’t show up in a crowded spot without enough security. But the lookalike took a sweet opportunity to embody the rapper and promoted Releaf - an all-in-one medical cannabis subscription service. According to Daily Mail, at least four arrests have been made as crowds of bucket-hat-wearing cannabis smokers descended on one of London's busiest parks to celebrate the annual 420 events. The unruly crowd also threw drinks at police officers and broke the law by openly smoking pot in public.

We can definitely count on Dogg to back the decriminalization of weed in near future. Until then, people will have to smoke pot with the fake rapper, hoping the real one will show up at the Hyde Park gathering someday.
