Jake Gyllenhaal Reveals Ingeniously Funny Method to Detect if Someone’s High on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'
We all have hidden talents and sometimes we aren’t even aware of what we are capable of. Recently while making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, actor Jake Gyllenhaal realized that he is actually pretty good at detecting if someone is stoned or not. Though the actor hilariously denied being able to identify stoned people, a game arranged by Jimmy Kimmel made the actor prove himself wrong. Kimmel made Gyllenhaal play a fun game in the latest episode of the talk show where the actor had to spot who was the stoned person among a trio of pedestrians to honor 4/20.
The three pedestrians who agreed to be a part of this interesting segment called "Who’s High?" were a journalist, an undertaker and a musician. They were asked a few silly questions and told to introduce themselves as the camera zoomed into their eyes to check if they were glassy or not. When Gyllenhaal and Kimmel had to detect the stoned individual, surprisingly, the actor got it right but the show’s host didn’t. Gyllenhaal detected the stoner just by asking them to show their "best dance moves."
Alex, the journalist from Glasgow turned out to be the blazed one and happily admitted that he had shared a joint in an alleyway with a woman who appeared on the game earlier. Maybe Gyllenhaal can take up detective work if his acting career does not work out at some point. But for now, Gyllenhaal’s career is going smoothly and he is starring in Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant.
While promoting his current film he also made an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show where Clarkson asked him about his former day jobs before backtracking her words. "Did you ever have any real jobs? Like regular jobs?" she asked, before clarifying, "I mean, in life—a normal, average—I've had a lot of, like, normal jobs." In response, he teased her by saying she was "digging" herself into a bigger hole. Gyllenhaal revealed that he once had a stint as a lifeguard.
Clarkson was really digging herself into a bigger hole as the actor went on to reveal a hilarious incident on the show which involved putting some of his urine on a beachgoer stung by a jellyfish to relieve their pain. “It was their choice,” Gyllenhaal added, quipping that he's “willing to (do whatever) to save a life.” Well, it turns out every job has its own quirks. But we would rather have Gyllenhaal take up detective work as an alternate career option since he is really good at detecting stoned folks.
