Reality TV talent shows always welcome a bunch of bizarre and never-seen-before acts which either leave us in awe or in confusion. But this Japanese comedian has been making waves on the internet after appearing to audition on Britain's Got Talent. Tonikaku 'Tony' Akarui Yasumura managed to set the venue on fire as the audience and judges of the talent show laughed hysterically at his simple but disarmingly funny act.

Yasumura's act is all about clever deception as he poses as various personalities on stage with his hands and legs strategically placed to give the impression that he is naked. But the man is actually maintaining the last shred of his modesty by wearing only a pink flower-patterned bathing suit. As he appeared on the British talent show judged by the likes of Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams, people did not have much expectations from him but Yasumura was about to prove every soul in the room wrong.

The comedian soon raised a leg, sat with his hands folded or crouched low and cleverly positioned himself so his only attire was out of view. “Don’t worry,” he said in a friendly, reassuring tone. “I’m wearing,” he added and the judges finished the sentence for him, shouting out, “Pants!” Yasumura also posed as James Bond, a Spice Girl and a soccer player, all the while continuing with his side-splitting shtick.

Cowell, who is known to be the harshest judge on the show said, "Honestly, you are the funniest contestant we’ve had all year, seriously. Really funny and original."

“He brought confidence, comedy and luckily his pants! Tonikaku had us crackin’ up from start to finish with his brilliant audition,” the show said in a statement, per South China Morning Post. His audition video has deservingly gone viral with the YouTube video from the show receiving more than 10 million views but Yasumura has a simple explanation for his success.

While talking to Associated Press, the funnyman said, "Do it with majestically dignified and utterly unfounded confidence. That gets over because what you’re doing is such nonsense." He also revealed to the outlet that the idea behind his act comes from Yasumura stumbling upon a female pop idol's book cover where she was supposedly posing naked. But in reality, she was just sitting in a position that will make anyone imagine that she could be posing without her clothes with strategically placed arms and legs.

Since he is not even slightly phased to stand in front of the audience with barely any clothes, we appreciate his mode of self-expression and courage. And it looks like his confidence on stage is paying off well as he gains worldwide exposure after his talent show audition. Yasumura has been performing his trademark act for nearly a decade now and he has become almost a household name in Japan. The comedian also added that he is lucky because he doesn't have to do anything special in order to maintain his chunky figure, and he is just determined to do this act and entertain people till he dies.
