Prankster Paul Rudd Sent a 'Fake' Celebrity 'Get Well Soon' Video To Jeremy Renner and It's a Laugh Riot

We marvel at the strong bond among the members of the Marvel family. Jeremy Renner is a lucky man to be on the receiving end of so much warmth and love from his Avengers co-stars. During the episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live on April 10, 2023, the Hawkeye star spoke fondly of his pal, Paul Rudd, who sent him a hilarious 'get well soon' video.

Renner made his first late-night appearance after his near-fatal snowplow accident on New Year's Day. He showed up for the late-night show with a walking stick and a big smile. He appeared to be in happy spirits, which was a relief for his fans and friends alike. During the conversation, Renner shared that along with his family, his MCU friends had been his support system while he was battling his injury in the hospital. Paul Rudd, in particular, lifted his spirits time and again. "So Rudd, who I love so much, happened to be in town promoting his movie, and he came by a couple of times to the hospital," Renner said. "Always just making my day because he's one of the funniest guys around." Rudd played Ant-Man in The Avengers series with co-star Renner playing Hawkeye.
The 52-year-old actor told the show host that Rudd made a 'fake' cameo video for him, like how celebrities record for fans. Renner said, "He sent me a video message. You know how you make those cameo videos where you pay money and get some movie star to say, 'Hey, happy birthday!'" The audience was in splits. He added, "I didn't even ask him to. He made a fake one as if I paid him money for a cameo."
The video showed Rudd holding the camera: "Hey, Jerry, I hear you are a little banged up and got into a fight with a snowblower, apparently?" Rudd joked in the hilarious video clip. "Anyway, I just wanted to send this video. It's really from the heart. I hope you're feeling better. It sounds like you are. Apparently, you're a pretty tough guy. So maybe I'll get to meet you one day, and wouldn't that be something? In the meantime, take care and take it easy for a while. And next time, maybe just let the snow melt. Feel better, Jerry." Renner held up a heart sign and laughed along with Kimmel and the audience.
Jimmy Kimmel shared the video clip on his Twitter handle, and people were in stitches. @Rhythm_Tyla wrote, "Great cameo. I'd bet they'd be great together on a press tour. So glad you're on the mend, Jer! Your strength, drive, and love got you through. Wait, is Sheridan going to make this into a script? Can't wait for Rennervations!"
I can’t believe that this is actually happening!!! I’m so very grateful @DisneyPlus and everyone at #rennervations pic.twitter.com/uiojEkiTqa

Another comment by @Simon_Ballache, read, "Epic from Rudd." The Bourne Legacy star also talked about his near-death experience when he was pulled under a 7-ton PistenBully snowplow vehicle that he was operating. "That was a very, very bad way to start the year," he said. Renner admitted he's glad to be alive despite breaking around 35 bones. Kimmel affirmed, "I think I speak for all of us when I say, thank God, look at you, you look great. We're glad to see you here in the flesh."
