Our dear 'Hawkeye,' Jeremy Renner was involved in an accident where he was run over by a 14,300-lb snowplow on New Year's Day while helping a family member get a stuck vehicle out of the estimated 3 feet of snowfall from the night before. Since then, he underwent critical surgery and is now on the path to recovery. Renner shared a social media update in which he expressed his gratitude to his fans and thanked them for their support, according to People. Amidst the painful recovery, a cute doppelganger had managed to amuse the 52-year-old Academy Award nominee. 

Auggie, his nephew, cheered him up with a flawless impersonation of his Avengers role, which he posted to his social media. "So, Uncle Jeremy... I can do the thing that you do with your eyebrow," said adorable Auggie before tilting his head down and raising his left brow exactly like The Avengers portrays as Renner's signature look. "Is that the thing? That it?" he asked his parents, who could be heard chuckling as his mom confirmed: "100 percent. That's what it is." Renner captioned it, "My nephew, August, who wrote me the SWEETEST letter has more to share with me. Thought I'd pass it on!" We may have found our little future Hawkeye. 

Renner reportedly broke more than 30 bones and had multiple surgeries after the accident on his property outside of Reno, Nevada, which initially left him in "critical but stable condition." He was attempting to save his nephew when the accident occurred. The sweet note Renner mentioned in his caption was the letter Auggie sent Renner while he recovered, who later posted it on his Instagram story. "My nephew had more to share with his 'not dead uncle.'" Auggie handwrote for him, "I am very lucky because my uncle is hawk-eye (which is 1 of The Avengers). I am also very lucky that my uncle is alive from his accident." The letter was indeed heart-touching. "Love my little man. Bless you, Auggie," Renner wrote on his Instagram story with the letter.

Renner also shared a photo on his story of two sloth stuffed animals, describing the photo as "my inside feeling." Fans also wished Renner a wholesome recovery and pointed out how similar his nephew looked to Renner. "Kid's got skills. Lucky you've got each other. Thanks for sharing," wrote @kayjacoby. "That’s so sweet, he looks like a mini you. So handsome and sweet," commented @SherriHoss. "Wow, camera(phone) loves him!" said @DonnaGallipeau. "Sweet. Grateful u r on road to recovery. Need you healthy for next season of #MayorOfKingstown EPIC show addicting AF," added @yinyang72.
