On April 8, 2023, the Saturday Night Live alum Shannon hosted an iconic sketch and brought back her beloved character, the racy dance choreographer Sally O'Malley. The trio appeared in full spirits to conquer the dance floor with their "fully-developed" moves. "The boys feel they're not a teeny-bopper band anymore and they're about to start their Vegas residency, so they want a more mature stage act," SNL's Kenan Thompson, who played the band's manager in the sketch told choreographers Greto (Chloe Fineman) and Turbo (Bowen Yang) before introducing the newly hired O'Malley.

Shannon entered, donning her classic two-piece red outfit and rocking her curly hair. Strutting on stage, she introduced herself, "My name is Sally O'Malley. I am proud to say I am 50 years old. I am not one of those girls who's afraid to tell her real age," and showed off her iconic kick and stretch routine. The vivacious dancer boasted her skills but the skeptical choreographers asked the self-proclaimed expert about how she could refine the Jonas Brothers' dance moves. She wasted no time in listing her racy qualifications. "Try five decades of dirty dancing and red pants-ing," Shannon confidently replied while pulling up her pants. "I've got half a century of sizzle in my lady schnitzel. The Grand Canyon's got nothing on me!"

The choreographers didn't seem convinced so the Jonas Brothers appeared to defend their choice and said, "We came by because we had a feeling they may not understand your new concept," Nick Jonas said. Nick, with Kevin and Joe, stripped off their clothes and revealed their matching outfits with Sally O'Malley. The trio mimicked her signature stretch and kick step and Nick suggested adding a jump. The instructor reprimanded him, "Jump? Neil, you're fired." Joe Jonas proposed a plan to replace Nick Jonas with Sally in their group and asked, "Yeah, that's a great idea. Do you know any of our songs?" "Absolutely not! I'm 50 years old," she answered.

The audience cracked up hard and several fans expressed their love in the SNL's YouTube video. A YouTube user, @otter blue, wrote, "Molly as O'Malley used to be a 30-year-old who acted older. Now she's a 58-year-old acting much younger. Either way, she's still got it." Another fan, @Cat Roberts Verser, commented, "Molly really outdid herself. Those Sally O'Malley skits were solid gold. And she still got the goods. Not to mention that the Jonas Brothers sporting her red outfit was the cherry on top." The skit ended with a terrific newspaper headline, "New Jonas Brother Is 50-Year-Old Woman!" This season's SNL is stealing the show for some of the best moments to date and the audience is having a gala time.
