The royals have taken over the pizza delivery job. For a day, they delivered happiness in the form of "surprise pizzas" to the locals in Wales. The Prince and Princess often partake in humanitarian activities which are appreciated and this was no exception.

On Thursday afternoon, April 27, 2023, the royal couple traveled to their namesake country of Wales and met with the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team. These rescuers save the lives of the climbers and walkers who visit the nearby mountain range. William, 40 and Middleton, 41 actively participated in the training activities that rescuers often do. The activities included rappelling, medical support exercises and a search dog rescue demonstration. Afterward, they headed to Dowlais Rugby Club to meet local community members with a delicious secret surprise in a "not-so-secret" vehicle.

The "future" king and queen ordered 22 pies, reported PEOPLE. And some of them were pepperoni, Margherita, barbecue chicken and goats' cheese pizzas. Sounds delicious, right? The couple then carried the pizza boxes and shared them with the rescue teams in Dowlais. They picked Little Dragon Pizza Van to deliver the Italian treat.

The owner of the pizza van, Peter Morris served the royal couple along with his colleague Shannon Stokes. Morris shared with PEOPLE, "The Princess asked if we make our own dough and said that they love making pizzas with their children," referring to Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7 and Prince Louis, 5." He added, "Making pizza for the future king and queen is surreal." Indeed it is. Because the Little Dragon is a mobile company, it can easily travel to places. The pizza delivery company often serves visitors to the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.

The owner of the mobile pizza van took pride that Prince William knew about his humble business. He shared his excitement and said, "Prince William said he'd heard of us — which is quite surreal." It will be a big deal for anyone. Morris added, "People come from far and wide. It is the quality of the food and the views!" William and Middleton have admirers around the world. A Twitter user, @AnnaSoftSoul said, "Love them!!! They are the real deal! Keep up the good work! Prince William and Princess Catherine! We love you!" Another admirer, @Lilybet65 commented, "Such a sweet gesture and those pizzas looked amazing."

During their time with military personnel in 2018, Middleton revealed her husband's 'messy' pizza habit. She even referred to him as a "nightmare" for eating pizza on the couch. Oops! We can relate, William. While spotting the yellow sofas, William jokingly asked men to "keep pizza off the couch." Middleton immediately quipped, "You're a nightmare with that!" The Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team has hard-working volunteers who respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day, year-round and they are celebrating 60 years of their service. It's also close to William's heart as he is the royal patron of Mountain Rescue England and Wales. The couple is set to join King Charles' coronation after wrapping up their activities in the country.
