Every couple has their own way to spice up their relationship over time and do certain things which can make their bonding even stronger. American actress and talk show host Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos might just have found the solution to happy long-term marriage. Though their methods might seem quite unconventional to many, it is probably working for this couple’s marriage. The couple recently sat down for a conversation with their marriage counselor, Dr. Linda Carter on the debut episode of Ripa’s SiriusXM podcast Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa. Ripa and Consuelos opened up about how they survived staying away from each other while Consuelos was filming at a distant location during the pandemic, per PEOPLE.

"There were rituals. Can I tell you something? We had sexual rituals that were so ludicrous over FaceTime," 52-year-old Ripa admitted during the podcast. Ripa revealed that she only wanted to show her most flattering angles to her husband of 26 years during their virtual chat sessions. "I became so alarmed at my appearance over FaceTime that I started rigging the computer to hang from a ladder," she added. "I'm not kidding."

"I hung the computer over a ladder so that I could look up to Mark and he did not have to see what gravity was actually doing to me," she said. "You get really close to yourself in situations where you're separated from your husband for long periods of time." Her husband is all set to join her as a co-host on Live next month after Ryan Seacrest makes his departure from the ABC talk show.

"I'm going to blame it on the fact that I traveled so much," Consuelos explained. "A lot had to happen in the time that I was home. I wanted to get intimacy in and the sex in," he added. Kelly chimed in," "So they became one and the same." The talk show host also suggested that "cutting off her 51-year-old husband sexually" would be a "potential dealbreaker" in their relationship. "Unless you had some type of medical condition where, like, you lost the use of your body," Consuelos clarified, as per the outlet.

Ripa also shared how there were times when she wanted a break from sex while going through menopause. "I didn't give you a break," Consuelos joked. "There have never been months between having sex unless I was in another country but if you just decided, 'Yeah, we're not having sex anymore,' I would probably have a problem with that."

According to ABC News, Ripa opened up to her husband Mark Consuelos this week regarding her "biggest complaint" about him in the early days of their relationship. "My biggest complaint about you over the course of our marriage - and this is not recent because it definitely changed and I don't know if I changed or you changed, or if it was some combination of change - you used to be insanely jealous," Ripa said in the podcast. Though there were ups and down in their relationship, we wish this sweet couple keeps themselves entertained for years to come.
