What could be worse than your children not finding you entertaining and not laughing at your jokes? Your own children unfollowing you on social media and staying away from your content that the world finds entertaining can be hard to deal with. Kelly Ripa's children aren't huge fans of her work. The co-host of Live With Kelly and Mark said she's "pretty sure" her three children, whom she shares with her husband Mark Consuelos, 52, have both blocked her on social media along with their dad. In an interview with E! News, Ripa disclosed the reasons behind it. The couple often overshare about their sex life and that for sure isn't something no child wants to hear.

The couple recently joked on air that they warned their daughter to not walk in without knocking. "I said, 'Lola, I don't want you to take this the wrong way, I'm very excited that you are home. We missed you. You are the heart of this family. You're so funny and you're just fantastic — but you gotta knock,'" said Consuelos, reported US Weekly. He jokingly warned Lola Conseulos. "Cause this week's freaky week, isn't it? Yeah, we're going to get freaky this week!"

Kelly Ripa revealed her kids have blocked her. "When you have a news feed and it says 'Suggest more or suggest this, like this or block this channel,' I'm certain they have blocked any channel with any mention of our names. Just like they block us on social media. They block us in any way they can," Ripa said about Michael, 25, Lola, 21 and Joaquin, 20. The former Live With Kelly and Ryan star, who taped the final episode last week, described the move as "self-preservation" for her children. Kelly, who will celebrate 27 years of marriage with her new Live co-host understands her children's instincts. She joked that they aren't even aware their parents are collaborating again. "They're in a whole 'nother subculture," she said, adding that the trio had no idea Consuelos had replaced Ryan Seacrest on the daytime talk show. "They're like, 'What do you mean? What are you guys doing?' They have no idea."

Kelly and the Riverdale actor who are new on the Live show have long been open about their private lives on social media. "Each kid, through different periods of time in their lives, goes through a stage like, 'Don't talk about us or I'd rather not be a subject,'" Consuelos shared with the outlet. "We respect that," he added. The All My Children alum also disclosed, "They don't really pay attention to what we're doing. They're just happy that mom and dad are finding ways to pass the time since they've left the house." The kids have been vocal at times about their personal lives being excluded from daily television. During an interview with People in 2020, Lola Consuelos chided her mom jokingly, "I block that out of my mind. I forgot that you even did that. I don't even know if I follow you on Instagram still! I'm kidding, I would never."

Lola Consuelos was also great at giving her mom advice on how to deal with haters on social media. "Somethings my mom post on social media that I would never are comments back to the haters," she claimed. "But that's why the people follow me!" her mom chimes in and Lola Consuelos replies, "I understand. But I just don't even think you should give them the time of day. I mean these people are sitting at home wishing they were you." It can be especially tough dealing with social media when the world's eyes are on a celebrity family but Kelly and Consuelos' children certainly know how to handle that well.
