Lamb Found in a Car With Drugs Worth Over $12,000 Sparks Lamb Puns From Twitterati | “Hope the Driver Was Lambasted”

Sometimes we wish a Disney or Pixar plot would become a reality but it seldom does. The recent reports about a lamb being discovered with a stash of illegal drugs sound totally made up, but it isn't, and it has sent the internet into laughing fits. Hollywood might even get inspired to make a film out of this little lamb's adventure in Glasgow, Scotland. Was the lamb a henchman of the drug dealers? Was the lamb kidnapped? What is the story of this adorable creature? The internet crowd demanded to know all about the lamb and the drug supply that went wrong as the news was circulated on several social media sites.
According to BBC, a car was pulled over on the northbound carriageway near junction three in Glasgow at around 6:10 pm on Saturday (April 22, 2023), as per the reports of Police Scotland. The officers were astonished to find a white lamb along with heroin and cocaine with an estimated value worth $8,727.32 and $3,741.31 respectively. A police dog named Billy played an important role in finding the drugs in the car.
Oh ewe! Officers from #GlasgowRP stopped this vehicle (not a Lamborghini!) on the #M74 J3 NB yesterday. In addition to this wee fella roughly £10k in Class A drugs were recovered with assistance from @PSOSDogs. Driver further arrested for failing the roadside swap for cocaine. pic.twitter.com/K2HItyaVN9

Afterwards, the lamb was taken in by a local farmer and further inquiries are ongoing to establish how it ended up in the car. So far the authorities have made three arrests in connection with the incident. A spokesperson from Police Scotland said: “Officers in Glasgow have seized drugs with a potential value of £10,000 ($ 12,472.35) from a vehicle on the M74 northbound. Around 18:10 BST on Saturday, 22 April 2023, officers stopped a car on the M74 northbound carriageway, near junction 3.” "The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested and a search of the car was carried out with assistance from the dog unit. PD Billy entered the car and indicated drugs were present,” they added. "Two men, aged 52 and 53 and one woman, aged 38, were arrested and charged with drugs offenses. They have been reported to the procurator fiscal."

Don’t fleece it on the puns tho
According to News 18, the arrested trio had a couple among them. When the police stopped the car of this elderly couple on the M74 highway and checked it they found a lamb in the backseat of their car and started playing with it. They also found a packet of chips in the back seat. However, Billy the dog who was present at the scene began jumping at the car repeatedly which led the officers to suspect the couple and eventually retrieve the drugs from them.
Hope the driver was lambasted......Are you allowed to tell us WHY he had a lamb as his co-driver??

Twitterati was amused with this news and flooded the comment section with a bunch of lamb puns. @PaulC_AKANeeNaw tweeted: "Hope you get a charging decision on the chop-chop. Don’t fleece it on the puns though." @No1Joy raised an important question and wrote: "Hope the driver was lambasted...Are you allowed to tell us WHY he had a lamb as his co-driver??" Well, since the lamb can't narrate his own story and give the police an accurate account of what exactly happened, all we can do is speculate.
