Man’s Bizarre Way of Boarding a Missed Bus Divides the Internet | “Stopping the Bus Until You Can Jump On”

A man in London was determined to catch the double-decker bus by hook or by crook. He opted for a unique way to board the vehicle which he apparently missed and people on the internet found it oddly amusing. But his so-called act of bravery was also life-threatening. Disclaimer: Do not try this.
In a TikTok video posted by @nofaceldn, an anonymous bloke was seen brazenly standing in front of a big double-decker bus. The viral video showed a frightening yet hilarious moment when a man caused a huge traffic jam only because he wanted to catch the bus. Wow! The text inlay of the video reads, "I know what to do when I miss the bus now," with a laughing-crying emoji. The footage gained over 605k views on the platform. The London man stood in the middle of the road and blocked the path of a 113 bus traveling to Marble Arch in London. A voice in the video can be heard saying, "Look at this, stopping the bus until you can jump on." Another voice added, "Look at the traffic he's caused. He's caused traffic just because he couldn't get on the bus. Look at all the traffic." The impatient fella caused a huge ruckus as a long queue of cars backed up for several meters behind the halted bus.
However, surprisingly, the man's bold antic worked. The bus driver apparently argued with him for a while through the windshield but eventually opened the bus door, and let him in. In disbelief, the man first jumped on board but hesitated for a moment. Perhaps he was worried that the bus would leave him once he moved. Once assured, he immediately jumped onto the bus and it drove off.
But the TikTok users couldn't decide. A group of social media found it hilarious as a user, @Chase, wrote, "This country is so funny man." Another TikToker, @sophial233, commented, "Imagine if the driver made him move to the side and then drove off." @saint388888 said, "Omgg, I used to run out in front of the bus so it couldn't pass me." Another hilarious comment by @human.compost read, "Man said 'If I am late, WE are late.'" LOL. A TikTok user, @jackieeeeee.17, could relate to the man and shared, "I can't lie, I have done this before. That's the day I knew I was brave." Another group of users sympathized with the man. A TikTok user, @amarkedd, wrote, "Have to respect it." @tyflystr101 said, "I salute him." @jhotography commented, "You need to know how long man has been standing there for that kind of traffic."
Stephen, the bus driver who works for the public transport service in Glasgow shared that there's one question he gets asked quite often: "Why do bus drivers leave some passengers stranded once the door is closed?" It's a million-dollar question. He explained in a video, "Quite a lot of people don't know this. If this is in the town, we are under TRC conditions which means they're enforced by Glasgow City Council and SPT and our own inspectors." Once the doors are closed, the drivers are not permitted to open them again. He further elaborated on the serious repercussions of breaking the rules. "The company faces a fine and can have their bus license for that vehicle taken off, which means it costs them money. And we can get into serious s**t for it in the bargain. So that's why that is, it’s nothing to do with the drivers."
