Employee Mocks Office Cafeteria Robot With Hilarious Commentary | “All This to Bring You Lunch"

We could be lazy, we could be busy or the waiter getting our lunch order might be making human errors. Due to these reasons, more and more restaurants and shopping malls are getting robots to assist customers with orders and directions. Don't be too surprised if you see them turning up in your workplace as well. We might think these bots are better than us but one man on the internet confidently belittles them. TikTok user @chmod655 was unimpressed when he discovered a robot walking around in his office and couldn't help but mock it. The video clip gained more than 936k views and was captioned "I'm starting to think my company hates money. This is a product that is looking for a solution."

The TikTok user records the robot's movements while explaining its actions in the video clip. He gives a running commentary explaining, "So I got to work and find this thing driving around our floor. I know it didn't have any arms. It kind of knew where it was going but it was heading toward the elevator 'Oh I got to see this.' So I ran over there and start recording." Watching the robot slowly moving towards the elevator, the man says, "I just didn't expect this. It has a circle guard around it, it is like don't interfere with it." The machine's lid slides up and a pointy object emerges from its metal body to press the lift button. The man chuckles hard and says, "It's sliding up. Wait for it. I wasn't expecting it. Guess what's in that thing - it's a lunch from the cafeteria. All this to bring you all lunch." Well, the commentary isn't totally unjustified because the robot looks like a better version of a garbage can and in its absence, employees would have caught some physical exercise by getting their own lunch.

TikTok users were amused by how the robot functioned. "Not lunch delivered in a slow trash can," mocked @cataclysmpanda. "I was waiting for it to peek back out of the elevator like 'You coming?'" commented @ashleystar1111. "It should be vacuuming at the same time," expected @ticktack2025. "Please put googly eyes on it," suggested @irunagirlsquad. The same video was shared by u/linuxunix on Reddit, where it received over 12k upvotes and was captioned, "Not impressed with the new robot at work." u/TheBigEMan warned, "Don't make fun of it, it will be your boss soon and has a long memory." u/SlightlyMoreSane said, "All this to avoid having to pay a food runner. And instead of having to repair/replace a robot constantly. At least, it doesn't complain if you kick it, I suppose. Yet." u/Doc_Hollidazed commented, "'If you return to in-office work we will have free food delivery service for all employees.'" u/Odd-Artist-2595 wrote, "Oh, this had me laughing so hard. The guy’s commentary is just perfect."
McDonald's also has a new AI ordering system that customers are not pleased with. On February 10, 2023, TikTok user @resinsbiren posted a video criticizing McDonald's new artificial intelligence system which the company has installed in a handful of drive-thrus across the country.
