Matt Damon is not calming down anytime soon. His longstanding feud with Jimmy Kimmel is flaring up as Damon called Kimmel a "terrible human being." Ouch!

For the record, while hosting the 95th Oscars, Kimmel took a sly dig at the Ocean's Eleven actor and in a comedic segment, asked Jessica Chastain, "Was it difficult filming your movie The Martian because your co-star Matt Damon can't read and smells like dog medicine?" Chastain laughed and replied, "I didn't really have a lot of scenes with him, so it was fine," per Variety.

The actor recently walked the carpet for the premiere of his film Air. Damon was speaking with Entertainment Tonight when they asked him if he still has bad blood for Kimmel, to which he bluntly responded, "No, no, he's an a**hole. Why would I ever do that?" He continued, "He's a terrible human being. He's a demonstrably bad man." Besides the Oscars clash, Kimmel and Damon's hilariously infamous feud dates back to the third season of Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2005. Kimmel cracked an off-hand joke toward the show's end, "I want to apologize to Matt Damon, we ran out of time" and this became a recurring line in his show. Since then, Kimmel apologized to Damon at the end of every episode for running out of time to interview him.

Both Kimmel and Damon have kept the feud alive by thrashing insults on various talk shows and in a series of comedic videos targeting one another. The 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' host was a few steps behind the Jason Bourne actor when he yelled at Kimmel, "Hey! I'd love to take a picture with you but we ran out of time." Kimmel told Entertainment Tonight about the incident on the carpet at the premiere of Damon's new film (Air), "You know, I don’t know who that was but yeah, I heard him. He was loud." He also claimed that the mysterious 'Cocaine Bear' at the Oscars was none other than Damon himself although the Air actor has denied it. "Did he say he was not the bear? He was the bear," Kimmel said. He also jokingly added, "And totally full of cocaine." It has been nearly two decades since their back-and-forth feud began and the hilarious beef lives on.

The patch-up, however, is a distant dream because when asked whether they will consider reconciliation, Kimmel responded, "I just cannot imagine it happening. I really cannot. I think we have Ben [Affleck] on tomorrow. So we will have that, but that will be as close as we get."

Sharing his side of the story, the talk show host told NPR in 2013, "We had a bad show. The guests were bad, and I felt pretty bad about myself at the end of the program." "And I decided to say, for the amusement of one of our producers standing next to me, 'I want to apologize to Matt Damon. We ran out of time.' And he got a kick out of it, the producer, so I just started doing it every night to amuse him." He also explained it was not intentional for him to take his name, and it was just the first name that popped into his head. He concluded, "I was trying to think of an A-list star and somebody we absolutely would not bump if he was on the show."
