If you are a parent of twins, then some of you might have faced this baffling situation at least once in your life.  An Argentinian mom was struggling to tell apart her twin babies and her last resort was calling the cops to help her out. Sofia Rodrigues, 25, from Córdoba tweeted in Spanish that went viral rather quickly from March 2 and the tweet read: "Tomorrow I have to go to the police to have my twins fingerprinted so they can tell me which one is which. I won the 'Mother of the Year' award."

Rodriguez shared the pictures of her adorable 2-month-old twins named Valentin and Lorenzo and also explained that the boys look slightly different "in photos but in person, they are the same." Rodriguez told TODAY: "I never thought I would get them confused since Valentin always wore a blue ribbon but when I realized that it was too small for him, I decided to cut it off."

The confused mom admitted that "it was crazy" while changing one of her son’s onesies while the babies were sick recently. Rodriguez had to approach the police for help to tell her twins apart and have them fingerprinted but the "prints did not look very defined." She said that on March 15, Argentina’s National Registry of Persons will identify the boys through their fingerprints. Netizens agree that parenting twins are a difficult task. Some curious people also jumped into the comment section on Twitter to help Rodriguez.

@manuelrubina wrote to help the new mom: "With my twin brother, we used a bracelet, one on the left (hand) and one on the right." @VeryTw suggested: "Put ink on the sole of the foot and make an impression on a piece of paper and compare it with the sole you have in the documentation." Another parent of twins @MaluendesLore wrote: "I bathed the same one two times and medicated the same one twice. But they survived the chaos." Perhaps the most hilarious suggestion came from @dieguez_, who said, "Rename them and start from scratch."

According to Dr. Joan A. Friedman, a Los Angeles based-psychologist and author of Emotionally Healthy Twins, Rodríguez is not the only one who faced this problem. "Identical twins look much alike, especially at birth. Excluding a difference in weight, birthmarks, or other obvious identifiers, it can be difficult to tell them apart especially when parents are anxious, stressed, or sleep deprived," she told the outlet. "She must feel anxious, confused, overwhelmed, and guilty," she added. "I hope this mom got some solace by reading that other parents often have the same problem." Identifying twin children gets easier as they start growing and developing individual personalities. Hopefully, Rodriguez will have no problem trying to differentiate between her babies in near future.
