If gaming is one of your hobbies, then you might need to invest in some quality headphones or dial down the volume of your sound system while playing certain games. Otherwise, you might get complaints from confused neighbors who assume that you are just blasting some adult content on your speakers. A popular Seattle-based content creator Jiayang who goes by the handle @plumsojuyang on most of his social platforms shared an interesting story involving his annoyed neighbors, and some questionable game audio which surely made the netizens crack up.

In the Instagram video, he mentioned that he has been playing the newly-released video game called The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom almost every day since it dropped. He was aware that the walls of his apartment building were pretty thin but he did not realize that the audio of his game was loud enough to disturb his neighbors. The said neighbors got the wrong idea from the NSFW audio coming from the game and complained about it to their landlord. “Yesterday I got an email from my landlord,” Jiayang told viewers. The email was titled: “The importance of maintaining a considerate environment for all residents.”

The landlord was just letting the gamer tenant know that someone in the building has apparently complained about “the audibility of adult content” coming from his apartment. “While the sound may not be excessively loud, it has still caused discomfort to the neighbor who can hear it,” the landlord’s email continued, before specifically requesting Jiayang to ensure “that any adult content…remains inaudible” to neighbors.

The content creator was not sure what his neighbors meant at first but then after giving some thought to it, he realized that the questionable audio was actually streaming from the Zelda video game. The sensual moaning noise was produced by a fairy character in the game and Jianyang even included the clip in his video to prove to the viewers that it’s true. “So they think I was watching… you know, but I was just playing Zelda!” he said. “What do I do??” The caption of his hilariously awkward video read: “Help, my neighbor probably thinks I’m a weirdo.”

After taking suggestions from some of his viewers in the comment section, Jiayang decided to send a clip of the game back to his landlord in an explanatory email to clear things up. He made a follow-up video to share the response of his landlord once again where the confusion was sorted out pretty quickly. The landlord even wrote in their email that their husband also plays Zelda and they are aware of the “distinctive audio gaming can produce at times.” Despite the conflict getting resolved, Jiayang was probably left embarrassed by this whole encounter. “I think I need to get some headphones,” he concluded in his follow-up video and we agree about it as well.
