Parrot Gets Banned From Watching TV After Picking up the ‘F’ Word and Using It Regularly in His Rants

Louis, the African grey parrot, is making headlines for going on swearing rants and the pub owner is facing troubles. In an incident from Sheffield, the parrot's bad-mouthing led to the owner taking strict measures like banning the bird from watching telly, per The Daily Mail.
Louis, who is merely five and a half years old, has picked up rather bad habits by watching too much TV. He mainly indulged in action films where the F word is quite common. Hence, he began bad-mouthing almost everyone who visits the pub. The parrot used to live with a family who had a baby and quickly picked up the sounds of the baby's toys and began imitating them. This was still acceptable until the birdy binged-watched action films on TV and picked up the blue language. In a bid to stop Loui's use of expletives, the pub's owner, Andy Ashby, 50, had to ban the bird from the telly. Haha!
It may sound hilarious but the parrot's foul-mouthing gave the staff a headache as it dropped F-bombs everywhere. Ashby said, "He will squeal and then say hello and come out with a couple of words." He also had to put a note on his cage with a warning to maintain distance from him as the feathered friend may bite or tell people to f**k off.
The owner added, "But then, he might just come out with the F-word, off-spec. Then when he goes on a rant, he starts shouting the F-word all the time, so it just causes me trouble." Ashby said that parrot's cursing infuriates him so much that his face turns red. But the bird shows no sign of improvement. He added, "the more you tell him, the worse he gets, and he just comes out with whatever he wants." "It's quite funny actually but it is one of the things where you think that it's quite embarrassing as well." Well, we second him.
The owner also shared about other sounds and noises he makes. "So he'll say oi, or he'll chirp. He also makes camera noises which sound like taking a picture on a mobile phone." But what seems Louis's favorite is the F-word. "Then when he goes on a sweary rant, he goes off on one, all the way." Ashby adopted Louis from the family he previously lived with. The stressed owner said, "He didn't say any words. I had him upstairs, and with the TV being on, he picked up some of the films." Adding that some of those films were big on swearing, he shared, "In some of the films, there's some language in them, so he's picked up some of the characters' words such as the F-word."

Alongside swearing, Louis also enjoys biting people if they get too close. OUCH! But Ashby hopes pub-goers have some positive influence on him, and eventually, he stops the embarrassing habit. Louis does not bite Ashby because he recognizes him as his dad. He concluded, "It will fade out. He will pick up new words now he's downstairs. He will pick up different, less rude, words." Well, we hope that too.
