Pascal has been enjoying all the attention of being crowned the "internet daddy" on social media. "Daddy is a state of mind," he once said.
Pedro Pascal has been working in film and television for almost two decades but the 47-year-old actor is finally getting recognition for something unique. Pascal might have been catapulted to stardom after his memorable role in Game of Thrones but nothing has come close to the adoration he's receiving as the ''internet daddy."
Now, at least some of us may be wondering about the origin of that term or why exactly Pascal is getting called "daddy" on the internet. One could say that the actor himself is responsible for his new title.
Pascal first confirmed that he is okay with being called "daddy" by his fans on the Lie Detector Test segment with Vanity Fair. "Daddy is a state of mind," the 47-year-old joked in the video and ever since then, the term has stuck with him. As his fan base kept expanding with the success of The Mandalorian and The Last of Us, the actor has been sort of nicknamed the "internet daddy."

His fans are now rejoicing as Pascal has officially acknowledged his position as everyone's favorite "internet daddy" during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show on February 24, 2023. He is surely loving all the attention that he is getting lately although most of them are women lusting after him. But Pascal has no problem with that. When Norton asked him, "What is the internet daddy?" Pascal replied with a quick flash of a smile, "Me!" The audience erupted into cheers and laughter.

However, according to the actor, he is "still trying to figure it all out."
"I feel like it changes, there's 'zaddy,' there's 'daddy,'" Pascal pointed out about the variation of the term "daddy." Another guest on the show, Ariana DeBose, chimed in and asked, "Zaddy? OK. That's, like, very silver foxy, it's a kind of air about you."
"I'll take it all," Pascal replied. Iconic actress Helen Mirren who also appeared on the show alongside Pascal suggested, "What about a sort of saddy?" Pascal quickly remarked, "That's the thing, is that I am a 'saddy' actually!" Norton even read out a series of hilarious and highly suggestive tweets which made the guests and the audience holler.

PEDRO PASCAL is a BIBLICALLY gorgeous man. I wanna feed him grapes. I wanna fan him with the frond of a date palm from the forests of Lebanon. I wanna find the alabaster vial of perfume oil that one woman broke for Jesus and comb it through his hair. Like..he's stressing me OUT pic.twitter.com/NeNUNMT41a

Pascal is currently starring in the popular video game live-action adaptation of The Last of Us as one of the deuteragonists, Joel, and the show has amassed favorable ratings till now. According to The Independent, Pascal said that it was a "hazy" moment for him when he was offered the role of Joel.
"When they called to offer me the part, I was so drowsy they had to repeat the offer," he said. "I then forgot that completely and when I woke up the following morning, I thought because of the time difference between London and LA, I would be waiting by the phone all day to hear if I got the job!"
Well, we wish him all the success in his career ahead. As long as he is comfortable being nicknamed anything at all, who are we to complain?
