The best friends placed a funny black-and-white framed picture of themselves on the mantel of their local Cracker Barrel in South Georgia and gained a lot of laughs and appreciation from the netizens. The caption of the video read: “Adding to the decor at Cracker Barrel.” The viral prank which is only 25 seconds long, received over 21 million views in a matter of few days. As Gashwiler films the video, Shelley can be seen sneakily getting up from her seat, rushing over to the Cracker Barrel’s mantel inside the restaurant and leaving a framed picture of themselves amongst other decorations. The monochrome picture features Shelley and Gashwiler dressed up in farmer’s attire, holding gardening equipment with even a chicken perched on Gashwiler’s hand. This image is sure to have every patron at the restaurant rolling with laughter.

But it seems that pulling a prank at Cracker Barrel has become a sort of trend in the past few years. In the following year, a woman from Nashville, Tennessee placed a vintage photograph of herself which showed her duck hunting inside a Cracker Barrel and ended up getting crowned as 'Employee of the Month,' reports Local 12. Cracker Barrel restaurants usually have numerous pieces of decor inside so it is easy for the staff to miss one little frame or two on their mantel. As a result, Gashwiler and Shelley were able to pull their funny stunts so easily. In an interview with, TODAY, Gashwiler revealed that “she and Ashley shenanigans pretty hard.”

“I mean, this is the first time I’ve really ever posted anything on TikTok of our shenanigans. So I was shocked that it’s taken off. This isn’t even the best of our shenanigans,” she added. The duo also said that the prank was intended for their friend, Mike who was recently promoted to managerial position at the local Cracker Barrel. “As far as we know, he doesn’t even know it’s there yet,” Shelley said, per the outlet. They also revealed in a follow-up video that nobody at the restaurant has seemingly discovered their prank yet and the picture still rests on the mantel.
