If you are Ryan Reynold’s buddy, then there is no way your birthday tribute will turn out to be boring. Reynold’s sense of humor is well-known in Hollywood and as proof, he just went above and beyond to prepare a special gift for his friend and co-owner of Wrexham A.F.C, Rob McElhenney. The American actor’s 46th birthday bash was surely highlighted by a special song Reynolds prepared for him. The song will teach everyone how to pronounce Rob’s last name which has apparently been wrongly pronounced by many people.

The Deadpool star shared the hilarious musical chant video on Twitter and YouTube which showed the amount of creativity and hard work Reynolds has invested to make McElhenney’s birthday extra special. "A birthday card might've been easier. Happy birthday, @rmcelhenney," Reynolds wrote in the caption of the Twitter post. The dramatically funny video started with Reynolds singing along to a piano melody. The lyrics to the song were as follows: “Sure, he's got a pretty face that people know they know. They think they recognize him from his big-time TV show.”

"But despite the accolades, despite a load of fame, one thing they do not know is how to spell their name," he continued on the mic. "Pronouncing all those N's and E's and H's can perplex 'em, so here's a little birthday gift from all your mates in Wrexham." Reynolds’ crooning continues as clips of McElhenney and prominent figures mispronouncing his last name are inter-spliced throughout the video.

The video then cuts to a scene in a pub where the song becomes an Irish jig-like chant: "First, it's Mack-le like a tackle when we take 'em to the ground. Then Henney, like the penny that he's in for with the pound." But Reynolds wasn’t the only man who worked hard to craft this video. He received an adequate amount of help from McElhenney’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s cast members along with his wife, Kaitlin Olson.

The groovy track concludes with a tally point added to the chalkboard under Reynold's initials, making the score 2-1 for Reynolds and McElhenney. "Would be a real shame if this became a Wrexham AFC Racecourse chant," Reynolds wrote as a joke. Sure enough, McElhenney was blown away by this video gift from Reynolds as he responded to the video with a tweet that read: "This is…. I mean… I don't…. Wow." Twitter users were vigilant enough to spot EGOT-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul in the tribute video as well and upon questioning Reynolds about it, he revealed that this “genius work” is a creation of the songwriters they mentioned.

According to PEOPLE, Reynolds also posted a series of Instagram stories where he revealed all the behind-the-scene details of the humorous music video and mentioned that he got some vocal guidance from the Barenaked Ladies singer, Steven Page. "Coincidentally, I tore my voice to shreds during Wrexham's Monday match and spoke to @stevenpage for advice. He gave me some good tips!" Reynolds further explained in his tweets. Don’t we all wish we had a friend like Reynolds who would create silly music videos for us on our birthdays? But then there is only one Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney is definitely blessed to have him as a friend.
