What will be your first reaction if your loved one was bitten by a snake? Rushing them to the hospital's emergency department? But a man from UP's Unnao district in India preferred to take the reptile to the hospital as mentioned by Times Now. And his reason is as bizarre as it can get. This man was identified as Narendra from Umar Atwa village of Safipur Kotwali area. He arrived at the hospital with a python he caught in a sack. He carried the reptile along in a rather strained situation, where his wife Kusma was a victim of a snakebite.

The doctors and other paramedical staff were shocked to see the snake. Apparently, the man's wife Kusma was cleaning the house and working in the kitchen when a python snakelet came in quietly and bit her. The woman screamed with pain and fell unconscious, seconds after the snakebite. The poor woman was immediately rushed to the hospital. When her husband reached home and was informed of the incident, he found the reptile and caught it in a sack. He also brought the blame-worthy snake to the hospital which caused quite a stir among the medical staff and doctors alike. They were all baffled, to say the least.

When he was questioned about the snake and why he brought it to the hospital, his response shook the doctors as well. He said he wanted the medics to see which [type of] snake has bitten his wife because that would help in the proper diagnosis, and she would be given the treatment accordingly. Woah! Dr. Tushar Srivastava, the medic who was present at the time of the incident, reported that the woman was out of danger. The python was also released in the wild. All's well that ends well. But unfortunately, this isn't the only time a human fell prey to a snake bite.

Previously in Unnao, in the Afzal Nagar area under the Makhi police circle, a similar incident was recorded. A woman fell victim to a snake bite and the husband tagged along with the snake in a plastic bottle. This incident happened in June 2022. The eyewitnesses identified the man as Ramendra Yadav from Raukarna village. His wife, Reena, was also occupied with house chores when a snake attacked her. The chief medical superintendent, Pawan Kumar, however, advised to refrain from bringing the reptile to the hospital. He said, "We want to tell, one need not bring the snake to the hospital in case of snakebite. Doctors identify the variety of the snake by its bite marks."
