If you’re a Donut Head, a Shaq Head, or both, you might want to sit down for this: The flagship Krispy Kreme location in Atlanta that Shaquille O’Neal owns has burned to the ground.
Damn. Say it ain’t so.
Per ESPN, the historic Krispy Kreme Doughnuts store owned by the NBA legend was engulfed in flames early Wednesday. Firefighters arrived shortly thereafter to fight the flames overtaking the iconic restaurant on Ponce De Leon Avenue that held all of Shaq’s donuts shortly after midnight… which was documented well on Twitter.

And while the damage could’ve been far worse, Twitter’s reaction is still pretty somber this morning.
Check Out Twitter’s Reaction To The Brutal News About Shaq and Krispy Kreme:
On the scene, Battalion Chief Douglas Hatcher explained to reporters that his firefighters saved most of the building after the fire started in the back, and that no injuries were reported. Additionally, he explained that the cause of the fire was under investigation.
Wow. This is some shit you just hate to hear, especially if you love donuts, Shaq, or you love both donuts and Shaq an equal amount. If you fall into the latter category, you surely must be asking yourself, “As a superfan of both donuts and Shaq, is this the worst news possible?” Unfortunately, it appears as though the answer is a resounding yes.
SMH. Here’s to hoping that Donuts AND Shaq bounce back from this unfortunate story, and BOTH come back STRONGER and BIGGER and TASTIER than ever! Thank you! Goodbye.
